I am coming from Frankfort(FRA) to Toronto(YYZ) and then Raleigh(RDU), I have only 1 hour and 25 minutes' layover. Flights are Operated by Air Canada, and I travel with US Passport. Is that time enough.? Thanks.

Yes, that is enough time. In Toronto you will proceed directly to US Immigration and Customs preclearance.

I am coming from Regina to Toronto and then Fort Lauderdale, I have only one hour layover all flights are booked with air Canada with Indian Passport. Is one hour enough for custom clearance? I am confused about that bag picture thing? Thanks

That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Going from Detroit to Vancouver through Toronto on WestJet. Layover is on a Saturday in June from 1:10p to 3p. Two senior citizens with limited mobility (walking only) and checked bags are part of the trip. Is this enough time for the layover?

Yes, that is enough time. Note that the flight from Detroit to Toronto will be operated by Delta.

Does Delta mean that I may have to change terminals, or any other "change airline" hassle?

No, all you have to do in Toronto is go through Canadian Immigration and customs and to your departure gate. Everything is in the same terminal.

I'm flying from amsterdam to toronto and then to vancouver we have 2 hours to connect to the flight to Vancouver is this enough time ? We go by Canadian air both flights, is there a quick way to reach the other gate because we have to go from an international arrival to a domestic flight.

Yes, that is enough time. There is no "Canadian Air", do you mean "Air Canada"? There's no "quick way" - you have to go through Canadian Immigration and customs in Toronto.

What do I have to do to get from 1 terminal to the other

There is a train that runs outside security between the two terminals. Be sure to leave plenty of time.

Will we need to leave secured area and retrieve baggage? From tor onto cancun

    What airline?

    Air Canada

You'll have to ask the agent when you check your bags, but your layover is short enough that you shouldn't have to.

We depart from YYC to Providenciales T&C with a layover in YYZ. Do we go through customs in TorontoS? We are flying with Air Canada. Does AC transfer our luggage for us or do we have to get the luggage after our arrival?

There is no Canadian Immigration and Customs when leaving Canada. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Toronto. You will go through Turks & Caicos immigration and Customs in Providenciales. You don't have to do anything with your bags in Toronto.

Will go from Ottawa to Austin,TX with connection in Toronto. Will go through US Customs in Toronto and not Ottawa? Will I have to retrieve my checked luggages in YYZ for US Customs or will they go directly to AUS?

Yes, you will go through US Immigration and Customs Preclearance in Toronto, not Ottawa. You may have to claim your bags, ask the agents there.

I'm flying Westjet Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale with a stop over in Toronto for 1 hour 40 minutes. Will my luggage go straight through from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale? Do I go through customs in Toronto ? If yes, will I be able to get through within the 1hour and 40 minutes? Do I need to leave terminals?

Both flights will be in Terminal 3. In Toronto you will go through US Immigration and Customs preclearance where you may or may not have to claim your bags. You have enough time.

I have a flight from Japan to Boston connecting in Toronto. The flight time just changed and I now have the care minimum 1 hr. 25 min. Is that enough time? Also, do I need to recheck bags once in Canada?

If both flights are on Air Canada that is enough time. You will go straight to US Immigration and Customs Preclearance in Toronto.

Flying from YVR to LGA, via YYZ with baggage. Flights are Air Canada, terminal 1 at YYZ. Is the 1 hour 10 minutes Air Canada allows sufficient time for the baggage transfer and security clearance?

Yes, that is enough time. In Toronto you will go through US Immigration and Customs Preclearance.

Hi! We're flying from Edinburgh to YYZ to SFO. We have UK passports & of course checked baggage. The flights are all on the same reservation. Is this enough time & I'm wondering about baggage - do you collect & re-check etc? Many thanks & apologies if you've been asked this before!

I'm sorry, the YYZ-bound flight from UK is Air Canada Rouge.

    That should be enough time.

Hello., Coming in from Barcelona on Air Canada (rouge) mid-afternoon and we have a 2:20 layover at YYZ. Connection to Detroit is also on Air Canada. I understand I do NOT have to collect checked luggage now...is this correct? Also, will 2:20 suffice for clearing Canadian passport control and US CPB at YYZ? Gracias!

Yes, that is my understanding. You have plenty of time. You actually won't have to go through Canadian passport control, you go straight to US CBP.

    Thanks, ZAP! Much appreciated!
