  • Is 50 mins enough to catch a connecting flight ?
    Apr 26, 2016
I'm travelling from Ottawa to varadero(Cuba). I have a connecting flight of 50 mins in Toronto. Would that be enough and do have have to check my bags again in Toronto ?

No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Toronto if both flights are on the same reservation. That should be enough time.

Did you make it on time. I have a similar réservation and à little worried.

    Mar 16, 2016
I am flying from dfw to Halifax with a connecting flight in Toronto, all on Air Canada. I have 1.5 hours to make the connection. Is that sufficient time, and will I need to collect bags in Toronto for customs.

Yes, you will go through Canadian Immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. You should have enough time.

Hello. I'm flying from Dublin, Ireland to Nassau, Bahamas with Aircanada rouge. The connecting flight is in YYZ. From landing in Toronto until the departure of the next flight I will have 1 hour 30 minutes. Should I enough time? Also will I have to pick up my luggage in Toronto and re check it? Thank you for help.

You do not have to claim your bags, you just have to go through Canadian passport control, security and to your gate.

Hi there, I will be landing in YYZ at 7:30am next Tuesday from NL. From there, I will be connecting to fly to Vegas. My flight time from YYZ to Vegas is 9:10am. Both at terminal 1. Will this be enough time (if no plane delays) to land in YYZ, get through security etc and make my flight to Vegas. Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Flying from London to LA via Toronto
    Mar 14, 2016
We are flying from london heathrow to LA via YYZ on good friday, flight gets into Toronto at 19:20 and our connection is at 20:45 giving us 1hour 25 mins for the connection. Both flights are with Air Canada. We are both UK citizens. Should I be worried that we will miss our connection?

That should be enough time. YYZ Terminal 1 allows very simple connection procedure for US->International connections, requiring just Canadian passport control.

  • Enough connection time for 1st time landing process for immigrants

Hi, we are arriving pearson tronto terminal 1 at 7:00 from cairo on Egyptair. Then we are flying on aircanada to montreal at 9:00 , do we have enough time to finalize our landing process in Cbsa? What is the walking distance from T1 arrival to the aircanada boarding counter?

That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.

We are arriving from Amsterdame on KLM and transfering to WestJet to Calgary. They have given us 1 hour and 20 minutes to do this. Do we have enough time to make the connection and do we have to pick up our luggage

Yes, you will have to pick up your baggage to go through Canadian customs. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • US-Pre-Clearence
    Mar 7, 2016
Hi, Our flight is TXL-MUC-YYZ-RSW. Maybe a silly question. What will happen, if my baggage didnt make it to YYZ. How long do i have to stay in the " holding- area " at US Pre-Clearence?, so that i dont miss connecting flight. Will they tell me, that baggage didnt make it and i can go on to the immigration counter,

Yes, they should be able to tell you if the bags weren't on the flight.

Thank you, for your quick answer. How do i know it, at a normal baggage carousell, you see the last baggage sign, but there? Do i have to wait a specific time, will it be shown on the monitors, or will they tell it to me when i enter the waiting hall? Thank you

You will be funneled towards Canadian passport control and the international baggage claim after you arrive. The exact claim your bags will be on will be on the monitors.

Hello! Flying to Paris on our honeymoon - we're leaving from Orlando, FL, USA and have a a layover in Toronto for a little less than 2 hours (something like 1 hour 45 minutes). We booked our flights all through AirFrance and it says our flight from FL to Toronto is going to be an AirFrance flight but provided by WesJet and arriving in Terminal 3. And our outbound flight is Toronto to Paris from Terminal 3 - AirFrance. Was just wondering if we need to pick up our bags, and then recheck them, as well as go through customs and security? According to the Pearson website, we will need to do all of that before we board our Paris flight and I'm concerned that we won't have enough time.

Yes, the Pearson airport connection guide is correct. You should still have enough time.

  • Is 1h40mins enough for international connection?
    Mar 6, 2016
I'm traveling from Munich to Atlanta on Sat evening in the middle of April (I would arrive at 6:55pm on Sat to YYZ, Toronto) from Germany. My next flight would be at 8:35pm to Atlanta. Is 1h40mins enough for immigration/re-check the bags? The other option of a trip is a 3 hours layover.

I personally would be much more comfortable with the 3 hour layover.

  • Connecting from T1 to T3
    Mar 6, 2016
Hello! I have an AC flight landing at T1 at YYZ, then 2 hours to get yo Terminsl 3 to catch an Alitalia flight. Is this enough time to make this connection?

Is your Air Canada flight domestic or International? Do you have checked bags?

Air Canada domestic (flying in from Windsor), yes one checked bag. It's booked on one ticket, so I assume AC and Alitalia have an interline agreement.

Then I think you have enough time.
