We are flying from Orlando, FL USA to Toronto in May. Our current layover is a little less than 2 hours. Is that enough time to go through the customs process? If not, I am going to look at changing my connecting flight.
Yes, that should be enough time if both flights are on the same reservation - it might be a bit difficult if you have two separate reservations connecting in Toronto.
Is one hour and 45 minutes enough time to get through customs and leave a delta terminal for a westjet terminal? We only have carryon luggage? It appears that WestJet would issue the reservations for both legs.
Delta and Westjet use the same terminal in Toronto. Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi all,
I'll be flying through YYZ on an ITI trip and I've been informed that I have to go through CBSA. What are the average waiting times at the CBSA checkpoint?
Im flying with WestJet from Halifax to Gatwick with a connection in Toronto. I land in Toronto 8:18PM and my flight to Gatwick is at 9:15PM. I both land and fly out from terminal 3. Do you think that is enough time?
Im getting worried due to the short amount of time, and the unstable weather conditions here in Canada..
That should be enough time.
I will be flying from Paris to Moncton via Toronto. Will I haveto pick up my luggage in Toronto if they are checked through Moncton? Will I clear customs in Toronto or at my final destination? Thanks in advance!
You will go through Canadian immigration and Customs in Toronto. You will have to ask your airline or a Border Canada representative in Toronto whether or not you have to claim your bags there.
Yes you have to pick up your luggage in Toronto
where will I go through customs and will I have to pick up my luggage in Toronto?
You will go through US Immigration and customs Preclearance in Toronto. You may or may not have to claim your bags then, ask the agents.
Lost and found file number L145476

Oct. 15, 2016 after checking in our baggages and while we're waiting for the time to board our plane, I realized I have left my Sony mini-tripod on the push cart by the check-in counter in terminal 1.

I immediately called the Lost and found section of the airport and reported the loss. I received file number L145476 as reference.

Oct. 29, 2016 on return trip to Toronto, after going through immigration, customs and baggage claim carousel I stopped by the "Lost and Found" office.

A lady named Nicole attended to me. I gave her my file number. Instinctively and logically she told me that if I did not receive email notification, it would mean my tripod was not found. Nevertheless she looked at her computer screen and confirmed my name. I do have a record in the system.

She said she will check other files that closely match mine, and that my file number might have some digits transposed.

She went back inside the storage area and voila! she found my tripod!

I identified the tripod. She asked for a piece of ID. I handed her my Drivers Licence. She released the tripod to me and returned my licence back to me.

Kudos to Nicole who was very resourceful, helpful and has the patience to listen to passengers like me.
Flight from Paris to Toronto. Do I have to collect my bags in Toronto or will they go to my final destination which is a domestic connecting flight . I am flying Air Canada!
Recent reports are that you will not have to claim your bags in Toronto and that all customs inspections are now done behind the scenes.
US family with a long layover in YYZ traveling to Italy. In order to go outside to smoke, do we need to go through immigration and customs?
You will go through Canadian Immigration when you land in Toronto anyway.
This is my first time flying in from a US Destination Flying with Air Canada. From Detroit DTW TO Moncton YQM with a transfer in Toronto YYZ. Will i have to pick up my checked baggage or will it be transfered to my other flight. As i will have to go thru customs
Recent reports are that in Toronto T1 when connecting from the US, that they no longer make you claim your bags, but check with airline personnel in Toronto.
Do you mean airline personnel for air canada
Yes, or immigration personnel.
