This is my first time flying in from a US Destination Flying with Air Canada. From Detroit DTW TO Moncton YQM with a transfer in Toronto YYZ. Will i have to pick up my checked baggage or will it be transfered to my other flight. As i will have to go thru customs
Recent reports are that in Toronto T1 when connecting from the US, that they no longer make you claim your bags, but check with airline personnel in Toronto.
I booked flights with WestJet the other day for my girlfriend and myself. I entered my middle name in my ticket information, but she has two middle names and the WestJet booking system kept rejecting her middle name as too long, so I ultimately booked the ticket with no middle name at all - just first and last name. I know there is always a big deal made about exact names matching, but the system simply wouldn't let me put it so I have to imagine it won't be a problem. Does anyone have any experience with this and know if she'll have a problem using the automated passport control kiosks as her passport will contain her two middle names and the boarding pass only reflects first and last name? I don't want us to have to wait in a long line to speak to an agent, or worse, be denied boarding due to a reservation system limitation! Any advice anyone has on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I will be traveling on Sat Oct 29 out of T3 to the US on a 9:30am flight. On a Saturday morning, do you think arriving around 7:30 would be sufficient to clear customs and get through security to the gate in T3? Thank you!
My childrens are travelling to Canada YYZ from New Delhi India by british airways via London and New york (JFK). Can the luggage be booked directly for YYZ and do they need any US immigration while passing through US. Their arrival at JFK is at terminal 7 and departure is from Terminal 8. I am really worried that do they have to clear US immigration and again have to re check in . Please help
Yes, in JFK they will have to go through US Immigration, claim their bags, go through US Customs, re-check their bags at the re-check desk, take the AirTrain to Terminal 8 and go through security. If they are Indian citizens then they need US Transit Visas.
It is my frist time travelling alone and I am freaking out. Can anyone tell me if I have to get my luggage from yyz and re-check or will it automatically go straight to lga? I was talking to an AC rep earlier and he mentioned going to pre-customs however I did not understand him fully. TIA
You will have to claim your baggage in Toronto at US Immigration and customs preclearance to take it through customs, then immediately re-check it.
Will I have enough time to do it? I only have an hour til my next plane arrives.
That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hello, I'm flying from Cleveland to Amsterdam through Toronto. I'm flying in T1 with Air Canada and flying from T3 with Jet Airways. Do I need a transit visa? Or do I need to take my baggage from T1 with me to T3?
What is your citizenship and do you have Permanent Residency in the US?
I'm Georgian and I have the USA B1/B2 visa vaild until 2025.
Wondering if shuttles from Pearson Airport go to Havelock Ontario. My flight from Calgary arrives in Toronto Thursday at 4:15 p.m. I have one suitcase and a teacup chihuahua in bag. Or how would I get there
Havelock is a small town nearly 200 km from YYZ. You will either have to rent a car or have someone pick you up or use a shared van service like - https://www.centurybus.ca/
