Tulsa TUL Airport Overview

Tulsa International Airport TUL is a medium-sized airport serving the City and County of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Airport is located 5 miles or 10 minutes from downtown Tulsa, and is situated between Interstate Hwys. 244, 169 and Hwy 11 (Gilcrease Expwy), and can be accessed by I-244 (HW 11 W exits to Virgin Street/Airport or via exit 12B).

NOTE:  Due to ongoing construction on I-244 - from Sheridan east to I-44 junction - from February  2012 to early 2013 - add extra time for possible delays (exits are to remain open).

With three runways and an estimated 2.7 million passengers in 2012, Tulsa International Airport is served by several major and charter airlines, offering direct flights to many major US hubs, with connections around the world.

On-Airport Hotels: 1. The Hilton Garden Inn (tel. 918-838-1444) is located at the main entrance and offers complimentary shuttle service.
2. The Park Inn Tulsa Airport (tel. 918-835--9911) is just inside the main entrance. Both hotels offer shuttle service to the terminal..

Rental car counters for major agencies are located in the arrivals area of the passenger terminal.

To get from Tulsa International Airport to your destination, you have the option of renting a car, taking a taxi outside the baggage claim area, or taking the scheduled Transit Bus Route 203 which serves the Airport on weekdays, offering downtown Tulsa connections. Present and future Airport developments. 
Runway 18/l36R has been under consruction, and is completing its second phase by June 2013, followed by the final phase 4 involving the itnersection reconstruction of runways 18L/36R and 8/26 - which ithe most complex and disruptive work, to be completed by 2014.  Presently, the Airport's crosswind runway is being used, which may cause flights delays or cancelations if weather conditions so dictate.
