    Valley International Airport HRL, located near Harlingen, Texas, is the largest airport in the Rio Grande Valley area. Nearly a million people a year walk through the terminal. South Padre Island, the Mexican Town of Reynosa and the large Border City of Brownsville are nearby. State Hwy 77/83 leads to the Airport.

    Southwest Airlines and Continental Express are the main airline carriers serving the airport with direct and connecting flights, while Sun Country Airlines offers direct service to Minneapolis from November-April (with flight connections to sunshine destinations). The passener terminal offers the following amenities: Free WiFi access throughout; a conference room on the 3rd Floor; a VIA VIP Club across from the Southwest gates for frequent flyers, with free wireless internet, fax & copy machine and telephones; a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Star Bucks; Paradies Gift Shop and a 2nd Floor Newsstand; and a KidsPort play area. Parking is available at the long-term Remote Lot (first 30 mins free) and the short-term Close-in Lot.
