I have a 3 hour layover on a flight from Kamloops before a flight to Toronto. Is it a challenge to exit security to meet a friend for lunch and passing back in before my second flight? Canadian citizen flying on one ticket so no baggage issues.
It's enough time if you can eat lunch in an hour.
Hello,
I am flying from PDX and connecting a flight to PEK. The lay over time is 1 hour. Since I am not Canadian or US citizen, do I need to clear the custom? Should I do the security check again?
Hi,

We're arriving from San Francisco and heading to Tokyo Saturday AM. We have a 5 hour layover and were hoping to visit our fave Chinese restaurant in town.
a) Is 5 hours enough time to exit, visit W Broadway street and re-enter the airport? (assume we take the skytrain and need to check-in 2 hours before departure)
b) How long does the customs and immigration (exit and re-enter airport) process take?
c) If we decide to stay at the airport during our layover, do we still need to cross customs from arrival to departure? (arriving and departing flights are Air Canada)

Thanks in advance!
hi, I'm a Filipino citizen but a US green card holder. I'll be flying in from Shanghai to Denver and have an 18-hour layover in Vancouver. Do i need a Canadian visa to transit at YVR? Will i be allowed to go out of the airport?
thank a lot for any info.
US Permanent residents do not need a visa to visit or transit Canada, however, you do have to complete eTA.
thank you very much
Hello. Im flying to Whitehorse to Vancouver and then to China. Ill land at 9.45am in Vancouver and catch the next flight to China at 12.20pm. Do you think Ill be able to make it on time? Im not a resident or Canadian citizen. Do I go through immigration while leaving the country? Will it be enough time to get my bags and clear security on time?
There is no Canadian immigration when leaving the country. You should have enough time if the flight from Whitehorse is on-time.
I am flying from Kelowna to Hong Kong via Vancouver(different airline), do I need to claim my luggage in Vancouver airport?
What airlines? Are your flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
I am planning to Travel from Sydney to Toronto via Vancouver International by AC34, Connect in airport only allowed only 1.30hrs. Is this time enough for me to transfer ?
(also both Sydney to YVR and YVR to YYZ both says AC34.)
Yes, that is enough time.
landing from Toronto at 10 am YVR time. Flight to Hawaii at 545 pm. Do I have to go through Us customs immediately upon landing as bags get automatically sent through?
You'll have to ask the agent in your origin city.
I'm travelling from San Fran to London on Westjet with an 8 hour layover in Vancouver. Can I leave the airport? Do I need a visa? Does it make a difference whether my luggage is transferred? I'm expecting the luggage to transfer between the two flights without me picking it up in Vancouver. Thanks for any assistance you can give.
What is your citizenship?
British
Then you are free to exit the airport if you want. Brits don't need a visa to visit Canada.
Thanks for your help
I will b travelling from London to Vancouver on air Canada flight I have layover of 7 hrs before I catch my next flight for Kelowna on west jet air. Both the bookings are made on different reservation. Will the allow me to check my baggage all the way till Kelowna. If not do I have to pay any baggage fees.
No, you will have to claim your bags in Vancouver and then take them to the Westjet counter to re-check them and pay a baggage fee.
Thanks a lot for ur reply! Just wondering as I have 7 hrs of layover is it wise to go out of the airport or are there enough things to do within airport terminal?
