Veracruz General Jara VER Airport Overview

Veracruz General Heriberto Jara International Airport serves the Mexican city and state of Veracruz, and is gateway to  the spectacular landscape of the lake Catemaco region, and the famous Carnival of Veracruz with its musical extravaganzas lasting all night through.

The Airport is located 10 km outside of the city of Veracruz, located on the Gulf of Mexico - between the cities of La Antigua and Boca del Rio. To get to Veracruz, take the access road (turn right at the junction with the highway; after 5 minutes you see a turnoff to the right, signposted for Veracruz city center.

With two runways and 894,552 passengers in 2012, Veracruz International Airport is served by domestic and international airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

The passenger terminal at Veracruz International Airport is able to process 390 passengers an hour and offers an Information and Tourist counter, banking service, an ATM machine across from the check-in desks, shops, two cafes,  and rental car counters.

To get from Veracruz International Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi or a shared-ride minivan.
