Verona Valerio Catullo VRN Airport Overview

Verona Valerio Catullo Airport VRN (also known as Verona-Villafranca Airport), serves Italy's Veneto area.

The Airport is located 5 km southwest of the city of Verona, in the center of the densely populated provinces of Brescia, Mantua, Rovigo, Vincenza, Trento, Bolzano & Verona. It is accessible from motorways A4 or A22: From Brescia take the Sommacampagna exit (the Airport sign comes up 10 mins. later); from Vicenza, Mantova, Trento & Bolzano take the Verona Nord exit (the Airport sign comes up 5 mins. later). 

With a long runway and over 3.0 million passengers in 2012, the Airport is served by a host of domestic, international, regular and low-cost airlines offering direct flights to a multitude of cities in Europe, the Middle East, & Central & North Africa; with connections around the globe.

NOTE: The Airport recommends that all passengers - even those who checked in online - arrive at least two hours prior to scheduled departure. Those who will have checked luggage to check their airline's rules on weight and size
Checking in:
(a)  If you carry hand baggage only, you can use the tele-check-in service by calling free 800-402402 (accessible also from mobile phones) and upon arrival proceed immediately to the check-in desk to get your boarding pass.
(b) Verona Airport also offers free reserved check-in Mon-Fri 6am-9pm for all business-class passengers, Fidelity ‘For You’ and frequent flyer card holders

The passenger terminal at Verona Airport is divided into 2-level Departures T1 and one-level Arrivals T2.
To check in you have two choices:  (a)  If you carry hand baggage only, you can use the tele-check-in service by calling free 800-402402 (accessible also from mobile phones) and upon arrival proceed immediately to the check-in desk to get your boarding pass.
The Arrivals terminal on the first level is sub-divided into Domestic & Schengen Arrivals, as well as International Arrivals. Amenities include four shops, a snack bar/cafe, Parking payment station, Customs, Information, Lost & Found, waiting room, and three rental car counters. The shuttle bus and taxi stand are outside of Arrivals.
The Departures terminal on the ground floor is divided into pre- and post-security areas and offers a host of amenitiess & services. Amenities in pre-security area: check-in desks, first-aid station, cafe, a bank & ATM cash machine, 2 stores, 2 internet points,  waiting room,  VIP lounge, & nursery. 
Amenities at post-security include a pharmacy, ATM machine, store, 2 cafes, and passport & security check.   On the first level of the Departures terminal is a restaurant, 2 cafes, a waiting room , VIP lounge (Catullo Lounge – tel. +39 045 809 5882)) and a chapel.
The 'Infracom Technology Room', is a fully-equipped video-conference room with high-speed internet and 2 personal computers; for pre-booking call +39 045 809 5882. You can also book a reserved room in the ‘Free Fly Verona’ restaurant & café at +39 045 809 5724. 

Parking options at Verona Airport:  All paring facilities can be accessed via motorway SR62 (Verona-Mantova) and all are in relatively close proximity to the passenger complex:
1. there are 2 lots for short-term parking in front of T1 & close to T2; 
2. P1 through P4 are medium- and long-term parking lots.
2. indoor parking is available at P2;
3. business parking lots 'P1bis' (across from short-stay lot) and 'P2bis' (surrounding the indoor parking area of P2).

Rental car offices for major rental cars are near Arrivals T2 at the Long-term Parking Lot P3.
 
To get from Verona Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi, a bus or a train:
1. Taxis are located outside the Arrivals hall. You can also call the following taxi companies directly: Unione, +39045 532666; Taxi & Autoblu, +39 045 8581403; and Catullo Radiotaxi, +39 045 9815997.
2. The Aerobus to the Verona Railway Station runs 6:30am-11:35pm every 20 minutes and costs 4.50 EUR.
