I am flying for Toronto Canada to terminal 1 and transfer to terminal 3 for international flight to China. I have 45 minutes for the connection. Is this enough time and how long does it take.
IAD only has one terminal so your question us confusing. What airlines are you flying?
Sorry I am flying out of terminal 1 in TO with United airlines to catch my flight at terminal 3 flying with UA. I have 45 mins to catch my flight. Is this enough time and with my companion using a cane?
As I said - IAD only has one terminal. I don't know where you're getting "terminal 1 and terminal 3" as they don't exist. If both flights are on United they will likely both be on the C/D concourse. All you have to do in IAD is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
I am going to Dubai with a round trip ticket. Since I will be originally coming from Norfolk, Since my visit will be for 2 months or more I am planning to book a one way ticket only from Norfolk to IAD (where I will have my flight to Dubai). Since I have experience booking a round trip and again re-booking it again and again because of weather and business cancellation, I just thought that it will be more practical and less expensive if I book one way to IAD and book the return once I have finalized my itinerary. My question is this: Will Norfolk and IAD Airport will require me to have return ticket on hand since it is only a visit and I should be expected to return. Please advise. Prompt response is really appreciated.
No airport requires you to have a roundtrip ticket. Additionally, there is no US Immigration, Customs, or passport control when leaving the US. You will just show your passport to the Emirates gate agent when checking in and boarding your plane.
Hi, I'm picking someone up from the airport today. I will have my small dog with me, can I bring him inside?
Since you aren't traveling and won't have a container for the dog it technically probably isn't allowed, but since lots of animals go through airports while traveling, I really doubt anyone would notice or care.
I am flying into IAD from Raleigh on United and flying to Ireland on AerLingus with about a 75 minute layover. The ticket is booked as one ticket. Is that enough time to connect to the international flight? Flight arrives in IAD around 4pm and AerLingus flight departs around 5:20pm. Starting to worry we will miss connection. How difficult is it to transfer between terminals?
IAD only has one terminal. You just have to change concourses. You have plenty of time. The concourses are connected by the Mobile Lounges and AeroTrain.
