I'll be flying in from JAX and it looks like will have to change terminals for my flight to PVD. I have about a 1 hour layover and it appears that I will have to change terminals. Will that be enough time to get from Terminal C to Terminal A?
IAD only has one terminal, so you don't have to change terminals. A and C are concourses. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Hi, I am flying into IAD from Frankfurt on Saturday 12/02 on United flight 933 at 8:05 PM and have a 2 hour window before i have to get on my next United flight 988 at 10:20 to Pittsburgh. I am traveling with Latvian passport. Will 2 hours be enough time to clear customs and get to my next flight (per United arlines my bags will be transferred to the final destination - Pittsburgh so i won't have to pick them up in IAD). Thank you!
You will have to claim your bags in IAD to take them through US Customs - whoever you talked to doesn't know what they're talking about. You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am flying into Dulles from Dublin, Ireland. Need to know if 1 hour 40 minutes is enough time to make my connecting flight from IAD to SAT? Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you!
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in IAD if both flights are on the same reservation is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if that's the case.
Thank you! Appreciate the response!
Departing from New Orleans, MSY, on United, connecting to SAS international flight at IAD.
1 hr. 11 minutes to complete transfer to SAS. (luggage should be checked in to Int'l destination.)
Will there be enough time to make the international flight?
Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the aerotrain or mobile lounge.
Thank you. Taking into consideration, all the variables
of flights departing and connecting on time, this is very reassuring.
I will be traveling into IAD on a Saturday with a 1 hour and 6 min layover before I catch the red eye to Munich. Is 1:06 enough to make the connection? Both flights are United.
Where are you flying into IAD from?
Newark EWR
Hi,

I am flying from RDU to IAD (arriving at Gate D11) and then flying to LHR (departing from Gate C12). All flights are on United. The layover is only 1 hour and 10 minutes. As long as my flight from RDU arrives on time, will I be able to make my connection? I haven't flown in over 20 years, so I'm a little nervous about it! :) Thank you
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks for the feedback! That makes me feel better
I have a United flight from Albany to IAD at 14:50 arriving at 16:20

Then I have one hour (exactly) to transfer to another United flight to Amsterdam at 17:20. Unfortunately, these two are different bookings.

This craze was created because I need to be in a morning meeting at Albany finishing midday and me also having to get to Amsterdam by morning for a conference.

Is this doable??

Many thanks in advance for your help!!!
Do you have checked bags? If you do you'll have to show your Amsterdam confirmation to the agent in Albany and hope they can check your bags through to Amsterdam, otherwise you have no chance. If your bags are checked through and you have both boarding passes, you can make it.
Hi, I am looking at flights to travel with carry-on only from Columbia CAE to Newark Liberty Intl. with a 40 min lay over inWashington Dulles IAD. Is this doable? if yes how easily? What should I be aware of?
Yes, that's doable but it leaves no time to spare.
arriving aer lingus with pre clearance bagage checked through Going to raleigh durham with united What gates and time needed to complete Any info gratefully received
You arrive in A or B and depart from C or D. If you have an hour that should be enough time.
I am flying from O'hare to IAD on United, and the from IAD to Bogota, Columbia on Avianca. The layover is 3 hr and 14 min. Will that be enough time? My wife and I are also bringing our 1 and 3 year old.
Yes, that is plenty of time. If both flights are on the same reservation then you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
