My daughter needs to change planes in IAD and her incoming flight is delayed leaving her with only 45 min to take-off time. How best to make it from one gate to the other?

arriving from Europe at Concorse C and departing later same Concorse. I have to immigrate before the next flight. Where is that between C2 and C 30 ?? Thanks

International arrivals need to need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Gates C30-17 are separate from gates C14-1 - reached by walkway - follow signs.

My daughter arriving separately on UA0952 and we both have 1 hr to catch CO0130 to Paris. What terminals will we need to go connect with?

You arrive and depart from mid-field concourses A/B & C/D (separate buildings) with corresponding gates. Continental alone is at B gates (B35-79; both United & Continental are at C & D gates (C1-30 & D1-29). You need to look at your tickets to see which gates you arrive/depart from. If you need to get to another gate area, you need to take the underground Aerotrain, making a continuous loop, but does not serve the D gates, If you need to get to the D gates D1-31 a mobile lounge shuttle will take you there. An hour is tight but you can make it.

  • Virginia Regional Transport to JetBlue

Hi there. We will be arriving to IAD via the VA Regional Transport bus system, which (I believe) will drop us off at Curb 2E at the main terminal. Our outbound flight will be on JetBlue Airways. What exactly would we do to get from the bus stop to JetBlue gates (which are at Terminal B)? Thank you!

You will be dropped off at the Main Terminal, where you check in. Midfield Concourses A & B are in a separate building, connected in the center by the underground AeroTrain; however, the A gates can also can be reached on foot via walkway from the Main Terminal (follow signs). The B gates are B35-51 and B63-79, with the AirTrain station in the center.

  • Saudi Airlines ticket counter

I will be arriving via United Express, will need to retrieve my bag at pickup, find the Saudi ticket counter to check it and go to Saudi Airlines terminal. Can you help please?

United serves domestic terminals A & C. Saudi Airline is in Terminal A, which has gates A1-15 and A17-30. You need to look at your ticket which gate you arrive at and depart from. If you arrive in Terminal A, you simply walk to your departing gate. If you arrive in Terminal C, you need to take the above-ground TerminaLink train to Terminal A, which stops in the post-security area. You check in at your original departure terminal. If (at your original check-in airport) you were informed that United will not transfer your bags (a few airlines do not) then you would have, on arrival, proceed to the baggage claim area, pick up your bag, and - if continuing flight is in Terminal A, proceed to the departure level, go through TSA check and on to your gate - or if you arrive in Terminal C pick up your bag, go to the departure level and check it in, go through TSA check, then proceed to the TerminaLink train to get to Terminal A.

My daughter is arriving in Dulles with United at Gate a and needs to get to US Airways, gate z. Will the shuttle take her there quickly?

Assuming that she arrives from a domestic flight (for international arrivals, passengers are transported to west end of main terminal for customs clearance, retrieval of bags, & re-checking-in same - taking 30-45 mins.) she will need to take the underground Aerotrain (follow signs) serving midfield gates A1-32 and take it to the main Terminal at post-security; then walk to your Z gates (Z6-10) - Z gates are connected to the Main Terminal and near the train stop.

My son is traveling, and I am trying to find out where Usairways lands and departs. I would like to help him figure out where he will be transfering. Does anyone know what Concourse USAirways uses??

Both US Airways (US) and US Airways Express (BK) are in Concourse Z, which has gates Z1 to Z4. It takes minutes for him to transfer to his next flight.

I have one hour to get from my United Airlines flight arriving from Toronto to connect to my Wshington - Doha flight. What terminal will I arrive & depart from and is this enough times???

One hour transfer is sufficient (use abovground TermiaLink connecting inside security. Note that United uses several gate areas; which Airline to Doha? This may help: A & B gates: The A gates (KLM Saudi Arabian, TACA, United, AirFrance, Continental, United, Korean, Virgin Atlantic) has gates A1-A6 ; AeroTrain in center, and Gates A15-32. B Gates (Lufthansa, JetBlue, Virgin America, American, Continental, Delta, SAS, Austrian, British, Southwest, JetBlue, Virgin America), has gates B35-51 and B63-79,with AeroTrain in the center. C & D gates: The C gates, (United, Continental) have gates C30-17, divided from the remaining C gates C14-1 by a walkway; the D gates, (United, Continental), presently not served by Aerotrain but by shuttle bus, have gates D1-29; the shuttle to main Terminal & A gates leaves between gates D15-21 and D9-11.

  • SA check in and departure gates

I am assisting 23 pax to SA. Where are the check in and gates located. Thank you

SA uses Midfield Concourse B. Check-in is on the Departures level of the Main Terminal. Thereafter, is security screening and signs for best route to departure gates. Use the underground Aerotrain making its continuous loop from main terminal's post-security area to the center of midfield concourses A/B - walk to your gate (A gates are A1-32). For group-check-in it may be a good idea to contact the Airport at (703) 572 2700 for more information.
