I will be traveling from Atlanta on a united express Mesa airlines flight arriving in IAD with an hour layover to my connecting united flight to Paris. Will an hour be enough to make this connection.
Yes, that should be enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I will be flying from NRT, Tokyo to Washington Dulles Airport with a 1 hour 30 min layover to Charlotte, NC leaving from Terminal A. Will this be enough time to clear customs and immigrations to catch my flight to Charlotte?
IAD does not have a Terminal A. Are both flights on the same reservation? What airlines are you flying?
My flight times were changed and now we have only a 40 minute layover for an international flight. Arriving d15 and leaving c4. If our domestic flight is on time, can we make it? Do we just walk (rather run) between D and C? Thanks
Yes, all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I have a United flight from Europe, with a 2 hour connection time for a flight going on to Newark. On the return, the connection from Newark to the Europe flight is 1 hour 8 minutes. United will let me book it online, but will this give enough time for passport control, customs, security, etc.?
Yes, that is enough time. On the way back to Europe all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I arrive Gate A4 fro Detroit at 8.56PM and my flight to London from Gate C4 at 9.50. Will I be able to make it? How much time it will take to go to Gate C4 from A4?
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi there,

Flying from Chicago to Washington, arrive in Washington at 16h18 and connecting flight is at 17h40 to Johannesburg. Ticket on one reservation. Must I recheck luggage or will the bags be checked straight through to Johannesburg? Will the boarding pass for Johannesburg be issued at Chicago?
All you have to do at IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Nothing with your bags. You have enough time.
Will be arriving IAD on UA1201 at 4:24pm and departing on SK 0926 at 5:15pm. It appears I will arrive at Concourse C and depart from Concourse B. First, how do I get between Concourses and second, can it be done in 51 minutes? Thank you.
You can take the Aerotrain or Mobile Lounge. It is possible if the first flight is on-time.
Dear all, I arrive to W. Dulles airport on Tuesday 25 at 2.40 p.m. local time from Europe. I will have to leave the International zone (pick up the lugguage, border/customs control). Then I would come to the Main terminal, and I have to check-in again for national flight (United) to Phoenix. Could anyone tell me how much time will take for me to get from Main terminal to Concources C or D? And how long it takes to pick up lugguage and border/customs control to enter the US? Next flight would be at 5.20 p.m. Many thanks. Tony
In addition to my upper question. Are border/customs control at the B concourse as well? Do I have to go to the Main terminal anyway to check-in my luggage? My flights to US are paid by my employer, next flight to Phoenix is on me (I cannot get flight tickets for all my flights to PHX). Thanks for all the answers. Tony
You will go through US Immigration and Customs in the International Arrivals Building, which is attached to the side of the main terminal. From there you can walk to the United check in desk on the upper level, then go through security and it's about a 10 minute ride to C/D.

TAHNK YOU VERY MUCH! Suprised over very quick response. BTW: if all goes well, how long it will take me to pick up my luggage and to enter the US after the US ICE control? And how much time before departure I should be at United chek-in desk to catch my 5.20 p.m. flight. Thanks, Tony
You need to be at the United desk by 4:20. I can't precisely predict the time for you to go through Immigration and Customs but I think you should have enough time.
Thank you.
Arrive at IAD at 3:25PM on UA107 from Munich, then connect to UA719 to LAX - flight departs 5:05PM. Is that enough time (60 minutes plus) to go through Customs?
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Everything will be handled in the C/D concourse.
I arrive via *RDU-IAD OPERATED BY /MESA AIRLINES DBA UNITED EXPRESS UNITED AIRLINES 6211

I depart via UNITED AIRLINES 989 for Frankfurt.....how far apart are these gates and how do I go?
Both gates will likely be on C/D. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
