Flying with family from Rome. Arrival at IAD is 3:05PM. Our connecting flight to SFO is at 4:50PM. We will only have carry-on luggage and we have Global Entry. Do we have enough time to make connection?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi I am taking a flight from Syracuse to IAD and then have a 45 minute layover and then go from IAD to Orlando. They are both United flights and were booked at the same time. Worried about the timing for getting to the terminals. Any idea what terminals these flights would be in? Thanks.
IAD only has one terminal. You will arrive in concourse A, C, or D and depart from C or D. All gates are connected inside security. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying from Heathrow London to Dulles Airpoirt and getting connecting flight to Brasil - Sao Paulo Guarulhos. I will have already checked in 2 bags from London, will these bags continue to my connecting flight or will i need to physically get them and re-check in? I am of Irish nationality, any other passport/security checks? Will 2 hours and 15 minutes be enough time? thanks
Yes, At IAD You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
Flying from London Heathrow to Washington Dulls Airport and getting connecting flight to Brasil - Sao Paulo Guarulhos. I am Irish (unsure of any security etc checks for connecting flights. I will have 2 checked in Suitcases already on board. Will i have enough time to get from my depart gate to boarding gate in 2 hours 15 minutes? Will my bags go straight to my connecting flight or do i need to get them and re-check in? Thank you

Our flight from Ottawa just got bumped an hour, making our connection to San Fran only 37 minutes. Is this possible?
Yes, that's still possible. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa. Although it doesn't leave much time to spare. You could call United and ask to be rebooked through Chicago for a longer layover.
Hello
I am flying from Orlando to IAD and then from IAD to Munich, with one hour time in between flights. Can you please tell me if this is enough time?Thank you
Yes, that is enough time. If both flights are n United you just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on the C/D concourse.
Flying united in landing at 4:25 and supposed to catch a connection at 5:45 at a Z gate is this realistic or will I get stuck at TSA again at the second concourse... carry on only. Thanks
There is no Security when going between concourses. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time and domestic and you already have your boarding pass for the second flight.
Hi, i'll be travelling from Toronto to Tokyo via IAD. I'll have no checked bags and will have 52 minutes between my flights. The YYZ-IAD leg is operated By Mesa Airlines Dba United Express, and the IAD - NRT United. Would anyone know if the gates are close to each other? Will I have enough time to get to my 2nd flight?
If your flight from Toronto is not delayed, you'll make it. Just walk fast. I have no idea how you're traveling from Toronto to Tokyo with just a carry on.
I am coming in from Raleigh, NC on United and taking a cone ting flight to Tokyo with 1 hour between flight . Do I have enough time and what would the terminal be ? Does United have a section of a concord ?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. I don't understand your second question.
Hello: Would it be possible to make this connection:
Arrive on VS international flight to IAD, connect to UA domestic flight with a scheduled 1h35m layover, on separately booked (award) tickets? US citizen, with checked luggage, traveling premium cabin. Thanks very much for the advice.
It's pretty risky with checked baggage, even flying Business class. I won't say it's impossible though.
Thanks for the helpful advice. Incidentally the UA website will price an itinerary (UA connecting to UA) also with exactly the same 1h35m connection. Possibly because of the schedule padding (these flights from LHR on UA and VS are on average arriving ~30m early). But given separate tickets I will look for an alternative. Thank you again so much.
Yes, with one booking you also don't need to worry about making a bag check cutoff for the second flight.
Final question on this: If same connection and details, but carry on bag (not checked) would this two-ticket itinerary be possible? thank you
