WE are taking a fllight from Knoxville to IAD which arrives at 4:00 and the connecting flight to copenhagen leaves in 1 hr. and 15 min. Will this be enough time to get from one plane to the other? Thanks
Yes, that should be enough time if both flights are on the same reservation and the flight from Knoxville is on-time.
Two of us are flying on United from Hartford CT, connecting at Washington, and then flying on to Cancun Mexico. Both flights will be on United, and we will be checking two bags. Right now there is an hour and a half layover. 1. Is this enough time? 2. When do our passports get checked/do we need to go through security again for 2nd leg of trip? 3. Do we need to do anything with our bags or will they automatically get transferred to the 2nd plane?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in IAD on your way to Cancun is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no special security for International flights and there is no US Customs when leaving the US.
Wondering because I cannot find a good map, does Concourse D connect to the main terminal or have a close exit? Going from YOW to IAD and continuing onto TPA. Smoker and wondering where I can go! Flying United Airlines
Concourse D is connected to the main Terminal by the Mobile lounges or you can walk to C and take the Aerotrain.
I am flying from Phoenix to Dulles, landing at 4:05 on United and trying to connect to a flight to Paris on Air France at 6:15. I'll have to get my checked bag and then recheck it in with Air France. Will I have enough time?
It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
We'll be arriving from Panama in Copa Airlines to Dulles on a friday at 3:10 pm, then take a connection to Newark with United Express at 5:25 pm I want to be sure that we will have enough time, from what I've read we will be doing inmigration and passport control in addition we have to get our checked bags and re checked them again, we are 2 adults and 2 teens we'll have 3 checked bags and hopefully no carry ons, do we have enough time between flights (2 hours and 15 minutes) to get to the United gate to Newark? My major worry ia the inmigration line.
That should be enough time. Yes, you have the procedure correct.
Flying with family from Rome. Arrival at IAD is 3:05PM. Our connecting flight to SFO is at 4:50PM. We will only have carry-on luggage and we have Global Entry. Do we have enough time to make connection?
Hi I am taking a flight from Syracuse to IAD and then have a 45 minute layover and then go from IAD to Orlando. They are both United flights and were booked at the same time. Worried about the timing for getting to the terminals. Any idea what terminals these flights would be in? Thanks.
IAD only has one terminal. You will arrive in concourse A, C, or D and depart from C or D. All gates are connected inside security. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying from Heathrow London to Dulles Airpoirt and getting connecting flight to Brasil - Sao Paulo Guarulhos. I will have already checked in 2 bags from London, will these bags continue to my connecting flight or will i need to physically get them and re-check in? I am of Irish nationality, any other passport/security checks? Will 2 hours and 15 minutes be enough time? thanks
Yes, At IAD You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
