I am arriving 4/16/16 united 4:24 and leaving united to sacramento at 5:15 , how do I find my way from one to another. first time by myself

Just follow the signs. You will depart from the C or D concourse which are just one long building. You didn't post where you are coming from so I don't know exactly where you arrive, but most United gates are on the C and D concourse.

    thanks

    coming from Rochester,NY

OK, that is one of the flights that does arrive in Concourse A. So you will have to take the mobile lounge or AeroTrain to your departure gate in C or D.

I want to know if 2 hours (with checked luggage) is enough for connection From Madrid to el Salvador. Do I Have to take off my luggage?

Yes, if both tickets are on the same reservation, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Aerotrain to your departure gate in Concourse B. You have just enough time.

Hi, I will be travelling to Sao Paulo from Toronto, on United, connecting through IAD. Would exactly 1 hour between flights be enough time to connect to my international flight?

I forgot to mention that I will have one checked in baggage.

Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do at Dulles is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I am flying to New Orleans from Singapore via Washington Dulles, by United airlines. I have one checked in baggage. The transit time in Washington Dulles is 1 hour 50 minutes, is it good enough?

There are no nonstop flights from Singapore to Washington-Dulles. Where are you stopping first? If Dulles is your first stop in the US you should have just enough time.

  • is 52 minutes connection enough?

I am wondering if this connection would be too tight. I am carrying a Canadian Passport and would be connecting from Flight 4578 which arrives 11:33AM from Toronto to Washington Dulles, the connecting flight would be at 12:25 PM.. meaning 52 minutes layover leaving for Tokyo Narita. Would I need to cross customs twice at this airport?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Dulles is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Hello, I am flying from Ottawa, Canada to Charleston via IAD. We will be pre-screened by customs at the ottawa airport and have an hour and 3 minutes before our flight to Charleston departs, do you think that will be enough time? Should I avoid bringing a checked bag? Thanks!

Yes. that should be enough time.

  • Connection United from St Thomas to British Air at Dulles

I have a United flight to Dulles from St Thomas US Virgin Islands arriving IAD at 16:20 to connect with a British Airways flight to London departing IAD at 18:15. Will there be enough connection time?

With checked bags and if purchased on two separate reservations it's possible but cutting it a bit tight as you will have to go to the main terminal, claim your bags, re-check them with British Airways, then go through security. If both tickets are on the same reservation or you don't have checked bags you should have enough time.

I arrive using UNITED AIRLINES at 16:10 (domestic) and leave on South African Airways (SAA) at 17:40. If I just carry hand luggage would that be enough time?

Yes, that is plenty of time. The Aerotrain and mobile lounge connect all concourses inside security.

Thank you. DO you think I would have enough time to check in bags?

Thanks for the quick response. So what confused me is that in other US to US to overseas flight itineraries, I've had to basically start all over again with security etc (Chicago O'Hare for example). But coming in to Dulles, I skip that and just go straight to the gate (luggage checked through etc) - Do I have that right?

Yes, all gate at Dulles are connected inside security. If everything is on the same reservation then all you have to do is go to your departure gate.

I would have flight from Toronto YYZ TO Paris CDG, stop on IAD with 76minutes layover, both flights are operated by United airlines, and in same ticket. Is it do-able? And I couldn't find terminal/concourse information in my booking. Do I have to reclaim and recheck my baggage in IAD? Thank you so much.

That is doable. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto on your way to IAD. Both flights should be on the C/D concourse. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hello all. I have a business trip booked to arrive Dulles on United at 4:10 pm, with an international departure to Denmark at 5:15 on SAS airlines. Is this do-able? Am i right that I actually need several hours to get through security etc ... or can I just go from incoming to outgoing gate to make the flight?

You can go directly to your departure gate. You have enough time. The Aerotrain and mobile lounge connect all the concourses inside security.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, all gates at Dulles are connected inside security and there is no US Customs when exiting the US.

I will be arriving in to IAD on Delta from ATL (domestic) on one reservation and then have two hours to connect to my second reservation which is an international flight on Emirates. Is two hours sufficient to go from the domestic terminal to international? We will have to recheck bags. Thanks!

That's barely enough time if your flight from Atlanta arrives on-time.

  • Terminal D to A united

Hi all- I'll be returning to ALB from TPA through IAD at the end of the month, and I expect my flight will arrive in terminal D and my connection to ALB will depart from terminal A. I see there is an AirTrain from C to A, but the map also shows a shuttle directly from D to A. I only have a 47 minute layover, so I want to get to terminal A as quickly as possible since I'm on the last flight out of IAD that night.

A, B, C, and D are concourses not terminals. If you do arrive in A. I do suggest taking the mobile lounge direct from D to A. However, if you arrive in C then take the Aerotrain. Also be aware that your Albany flight could depart from C or D.

I am flying on May10, arriving via Mesa(doing business as UA) and then flying regular UA to Paris. The layover is 84 minutes. Will I need to change concourses and go through security again? Is this enough time?

Both flights should be on C/D. You do not have to go through security. You should have plenty of time.
