Hi IMy daughter is flying into IAD and arriving at A1. She connects to next Flight at D16. She has 50 minutes. Is that enough time and is the shuttle more direct to D than the monorail?
The mobile lounge is usually faster from A to D than the AeroTrain.
Hi, I have a domestic flight from Orlando to Dulles with United (arrival at 4:15 at C or D concourses) and then an international flight from Dulles to Paris with Air France (departure at 6:55 at A concourse). Tickets were bought separatly so I will need to pick up my luggage and then check it for my international flight.
I have a French passport. Do you think the 2:40 hours are enough?
That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Traveling from DTW to Paris, FRA via IAD. Traveling with EXPRESSJET DBA DELTA CONNECTION from DTW to IAD, then Air france from IAD to Paris. 1 hour 30 minutes connection time. Is that enough?
Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am flying with Lufthansa, but it's operated by United. I have a connecting flight through IAD. I will be flying in from Charlotte and going to Manchester. I have a three hour layover in IAD. Is that enough time? And will I have to change terminals?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. IAD only has one terminal.
Thank you! I forgot it's concourses. Do you know if I'll have to take the aero train or shuttle to change concourses?
You probably won't have to. You depart from C/D and most flights from Charlotte arrive in C/D.
Alright! Thanks again!
Hi. I am flying from Cmh to iAd with United airlines and have a connection flight going to west Africa with delta. I booked two separate flights local and internationally. Is it far from where I pick my luggage from United arrival to delta international flight checking area? What transportation mean can I use?
Delta does not fly international flights from IAD. Please double check your reservation.
The reservation says operated by air France please reply
OK, so you will just go to the main terminal, claim your bags from United, then go up to the departure level, re-check your bags with Air France and then go through security and to your departure gate in A or B on the AirTrain.
I am flying on United from state college with commuter plan 4951 and going to San Diego on United 240 . Does anyone know which terminal (gate) I will arriving and which terminal I will be departing ( gates) ??
Do I have too take bus,.r Mono-rail between the terminals or gates
IAD only has one terminal. You will arrive in Concourse A and depart from Concourse C or D. You can take the Aerotrain or mobile lounge.
My husband and I are flying from LAX to Copenhagen and connecting through IAD on United and Scandanavian Airlines. We have 2 hours between flights. Will we have to pick up bags and re-check in for the international portion? And are the terminals close together? I worry that the 2 hours we have between flights is going to be too tight
If both flights are on the same reservation that is enough time. IAD only has one terminal. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The concourses are connected by the Aerotrain and mobile lounge.
I am traveling from Atlanta to IAD with DL1230 (1th of October 2016) and have a layover of 65 minuten to UA989. I made 2 differnt bookings.
Delta changed their timetable and I am not sure about the 65 minutes.
Thanks for your support
I do have luggage to check-in from Nassau to Frankfurt and I do have a German passport.
If you purchased two separate bookings Delta will not check your bags through to Frankfurt. You will have to claim your bags at IAD and re-check, making this connection impossible.
I'm flying in from Norfolk, VA to IAD, which arrives at A2E, and my connecting flight is at the C gates to London, how do I get from the A gates to C gates?
The Aerotrain or the mobile lounge. Follow the signs.
Arriving on international flights after immigration and recheck of bag, we then have to clear security. Why is there no TSA pre-check offered at that checkpoint?
Because simply not enough people pass through that checkpoint to justify it and because there probably isn't room.
