I have a United flight from Montreal arriving here at Washington with a 45 minute layover to get to my next United flight to go to Denver, Colorado. I've heard that if both your flights are United that going through customs shouldn't be a problem... is this true? Is 45 minutes enough time? Thank you!!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Hi guys, my friend and i will be traveling internationally on our own to Thailand for the first time this december and I am about to book the flight. Last time i traveled with family i remember just making the connections from plane to plane but i read somewhere that in IAD you have to claim your checked bags and have them re check??? our layover time i IAD to get to another terminal to go to Narita is only 55 minutes... we are usually very quick people and if i have one doubt ill just find the nearest air employee .. but this kinda doubting if we will be able to make it time for the connecting flight? unless Im not understanding something

thank you!
If both flights are on the same reservation and the flight into IAD is domestic you don't have to do anything with your bags in IAD on the way to Asia. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
HI! I'm arriving in IAD at terminal Dand have a connection flight leaving from terminal C. I have only 50min between first flight landing and connection departing. Will I have enough time?
C and D are just concourses and are just two ends of the same building. All you have to do is walk from one gate to the other. you have enough time.
Arriving IAD gate C4 at 7:29 am. Connecting flight to CLT leaves from gate A2e at 8:20 am. How best to get to departing gate on time?
AeroTrain or mobile Lounge. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I am arriving from ORF at 11:38 to IAD and catching a 13:55 international flight to KEV Iceland. Will that be enough time to connect?
I will only have a carry on bag.
If you check in online for your flight to Iceland that is plenty of time. If you have to go to the Icelandair check-in desk that is just enough time.
Hi I'm travelling with my 4 yr kid from Atlanta to Canada and layover in iad is 43 mins booked with United. Which terminal do I arrive and depart and how to travel between terminals? Is it sufficient time to change gates?
IAD only has one terminal. You won't know your concourse until the day of your flight. United and United Express use A, C, and D. You should have enough time.
I am flying from Morgantown to IAD arrving at 4:20 PM and need to connet to British airways for a 6:00 PM flight. Then to come home, we land in Dulles at 08:20 PM and need to make the 10:15 flight back to Morgantown. Is there enough time to make these connections? Thanks, Pat
With the late arrival you might have a chance. Maybe if you call Southern Airways Express ahead of time and tell them they can help you make the connection.
Wow, thanks for the speedy response. So the departing connection should be OK, but the return might be "iffy". Is this what you suspect? The Morgantown flight is usually so small....I think with a phone call...they may wait to be sure we make it. Thanks again for your help! Pat
How does my daughter get from terminal D to Gate A3C
On the AeroTrain or Mobile Lounge. A3C is at the end of A.
Hi. On my return from Europe I have a connecting flight in IAD. I land at 15:25 and my flight to Charleston departs at 17:05. Is this enough time to clear customs and find my new gate? For what it's worth I'm flying United Airlines (although the flight from IAD to CHS if Mesa Airlines) and likely will only have carry on bags.
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
How does one get from Terminal D (United) to Terminal B (Scandanavian)
D and B are concourses, not terminals. They are connected by the Aerotrain and mobile lounge. http://www.flydulles.com/iad/aerotrain-washington-dulles-international-airport
