How much connecting time do I need. Will it be in the same terminal?
IAD only has one Terminal. Air Canada will arrive in the Z gates which are attached to the main terminal and ANA will operate from concourse B. You can take the Aerotrain there. An hour should be enough time. You will pre-clear US immigration and Customs in Toronto.
I'll be flying with United from Ord arriving 15:48 at IAD and flying to Frankfurt Main Germany at 17:25, also on a United flight.

Is that enough time to make my flight back to Germany?
Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi,

I am a British Citizen travelling from LHR to State College PA, via IAD. My flight arrives at IAD at 11.15 and the connection leaves at 12.50. I will have checked luggage. Will there be enough time to make the connecting flight?
Thanks!
If both flights are on United that is enough time. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
Thanks a lot!
Hi, I am planning to fly from IND to Dublin through Dulles , EI6241 to Dulles from IND and then to Dublin on EI 118 on 27 January. The layover is only 1 hr 05 mins but just wanted to check if that is sufficient time and that my bag can get checked through direct from Indy to Dublin, I am Irish national if that matters re TSA etc... thanks!
If both flights are on the same reservation, yes, your bags will be tagged through to IND and all you have to do in IAD is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate as you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin.
Hello,

I travel from YOW to OKC with connection at IAD. I have layover of 1 hour 17 minutes and no checked luggage. Is the connection time enough?
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa so in IAD all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
United have sold me a ticket from LHR to IAD arriving 11:20 then IAD to CUN departing 12:30. I would assume United believe this is enough time for a connection, but is it? Also, will I need to collect and recheck my bags or will they be checked at London all the way to Cancun?
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Everything will be in the C/D Concourse. It is possible but everything has to go perfectly.
Please I have a flight from DFW (11:55) TO IAD (15:51) and after claiming my luggage. Catch up with Virgin Atlantic to (LHR) AT 18:45. Will that be plenty of time for international flight. I don't have the terminals or gate info right now. Thank
Yes, that should be enough time. IAD only has one terminal. What airline are you flying on the first flight?
United airline from DFW
OK, then you just have to go to the main terminal, claim your bags, take them up to the departure level, re-check them with Virgin Atlantic, and go through security and to Concourse A. You should have enough time.
Thank you so much (i appreciate).
im flying from Orlando on UA and connecting on ANA to japan. is 1 hr enough to connection time?
by the way flights are on the same reservation/ticket
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security.
ZAP thanks for your help!
I am on a flight from Toronto arriving in Washington at 7:37 AM and my connecting flight to Cancun leaves at 8:35 AM. Is 58 minutes enough time in between these flights?
Yes, that is enough time if everything goes smoothly. On the way to Cancun you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
Hi. I am traveling from Dubai to Toronto and am considering option of transit in IAD with 3 hours.

It's a single ticket and sky scanner doesn't say that it's self transfer.

Do I need to cross immigration and US customs?
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
