I'm an American and will be returning to U.S. from Thailand in June. My Emirates flight is scheduled to land at 8:40 a.m. in Dulles Airport. Would I be able to catch a Delta flight to New York that leaves at 10:00 a.m. or is that cutting it too close?

On two separate reservations I think that wouldn't be enough time. Certainly wouldn't be with checked baggage.

I am connecting from a domestic UA flight to international Luftansa flight at IAD. Is 1 hour and 25 minutes enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. All gates at IAD are connected inside security. You may have to take the AeroTrain or mobile lounge to your Lufthansa departure gate.

WE ARE TRAVEL BOSTON TO CANCUN FLT UA 389 YO DULLES THEN FLTUA1617 TO CANCUN ARE GATES CLOSE ENOUGH TO MAKE THE CONNECTING FLIGHT

Yes, both flights will be on the C/D concourse and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time, although you have little time to spare if the flight from Boston is late.

Hello, I will be traveling in May from Denver via IAD to Geneva,. Both flights are United Airlines. I have only 51 minutes to change from the one arriving with me from Denver to the one taking me to Geneva, Switzerland. Is it enough? Thank you!!!

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on the C/D concourse.

Hi I am trying to fly from ATL to Dakar. Momondo.com is giving me a United flight to Dulles, a 1 hr 15 min layover, and then a South Africa Airways flight to Dakar. Is this enough time to switch airlines, and switch from a domestic to international flight? Thanks.

Yes, that is enough time. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. They will be on different concourses which are connected inside security by the Aerotrain and mobile lounge.

  • Connection from BRU - IAD - SFO

Hello.I fly from Brussels to IAD and arrive at 2:30PM. My flight from IAD to SFO departs at 3:50. I have one checked back and 1 hour 20 min to clear/re-check. It is one reservation on United. Will this be enough time? Or should I take a flight at arrives IAD a little earlier? Thanks!

There's only one BRU-IAD United flight per day, so I don't think you could take one that is a "little earlier". 80 minutes is possible, but it depends on everything going perfectly.

Hello, I have a 1 hour 15 minute connection in IAD from Ottawa and will be ending up in Munich. I know that is a short connection time but I am NOT checking a bag so I would imagine this would expedite the process. I m traveling with my child. Both flights are on United Thank you!

Both flights should be on the same concourse, or have to do is walk or take mobil longe? do I have enough time ?

If both flights are on the same concourse all you have to do is walk. If you arrive in A, then you have to take the mobile lounge or aerotrain. You have enough time.

Bags don't affect the process. All you have to do in IAD on your way to Munich is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If both are on United then they are both on the C/D concourse. You should have plenty of time.

  • Departing to London from Durango, CO via Denver and Dulles

I am flying from Durango, CO to London via layovers in Denver and then DC (Dulles). I have only 37 minute layover in Denver and 1 hour layover in Dulles. Will this be sufficient time? This is my first time flying internationally and had heard that at some airports one has to go through security again on connecting flights to get to the international terminal. I don't know if Dulles is like that.

No, dulles is not like that. In dulles you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on the C/D concourse.

Hi - On Mon. April 18 I am flying from Toronto to IAD via United and arrive at IAD at 7:38am and depart United to Florida at 8:24am...do I have enough time to get my connecting flight? And where do I know where I go?

All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. Both gates should be on the C/D concourse. If your flight from Toronto is on-time you have enough time.

I am arriving 4/16/16 united 4:24 and leaving united to sacramento at 5:15 , how do I find my way from one to another. first time by myself

Just follow the signs. You will depart from the C or D concourse which are just one long building. You didn't post where you are coming from so I don't know exactly where you arrive, but most United gates are on the C and D concourse.

    thanks

    coming from Rochester,NY

OK, that is one of the flights that does arrive in Concourse A. So you will have to take the mobile lounge or AeroTrain to your departure gate in C or D.

I want to know if 2 hours (with checked luggage) is enough for connection From Madrid to el Salvador. Do I Have to take off my luggage?

Yes, if both tickets are on the same reservation, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Aerotrain to your departure gate in Concourse B. You have just enough time.

Hi, I will be travelling to Sao Paulo from Toronto, on United, connecting through IAD. Would exactly 1 hour between flights be enough time to connect to my international flight?

I forgot to mention that I will have one checked in baggage.

Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do at Dulles is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I am flying to New Orleans from Singapore via Washington Dulles, by United airlines. I have one checked in baggage. The transit time in Washington Dulles is 1 hour 50 minutes, is it good enough?

There are no nonstop flights from Singapore to Washington-Dulles. Where are you stopping first? If Dulles is your first stop in the US you should have just enough time.

  • is 52 minutes connection enough?

I am wondering if this connection would be too tight. I am carrying a Canadian Passport and would be connecting from Flight 4578 which arrives 11:33AM from Toronto to Washington Dulles, the connecting flight would be at 12:25 PM.. meaning 52 minutes layover leaving for Tokyo Narita. Would I need to cross customs twice at this airport?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Dulles is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
