I'm flying from Puerto Vallarta into HOBBY, with 1hr 40 min connection time to LGA. Flying southwest. Is it enough time?
I arrive 9:35 from Denver and depart 11:05 to Puerto Vallarta. How far is the SW International Terminal and will I have enough time to make my departure? I walk slowly.
Houston Hobby only has one terminal. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.
what is expected change plane time?
Next week, my boyfriend will be flying into Houston (IAH) from Omaha and then will connect to a flight from IAH airport to Mexico city. Both are United flights. He only will have 1 hour layover in the International Houston Airport . Will he make i to Méxicot? He will be traveling only with a carry-on. Thank you in advance.
Excuse me. I wanted to mean if one hour will be enought to catch his flight to Mexico City? Thanks!
We are flying into Houston from Denver and then connecting to a flight from Houston to Aruba. Both are Southwest flights. Looks like we arrive at gate 51 and then have to depart from one of the new International gates. We only have a 1 hour layover. Is that enough time? Do we have to gothoghurity again?
Sorry for the auto correct. I meant to ask, do we need to go through security again in Houston?
No, you don't have to go through security again. You have enough time.
Thank you!
If we are connecting from Cabo through Hobby with duty free liquids do we need to check them into our luggage or can we carry them to our domestic flight?
Yes, you will have to put them into your checked bags before you re-check them.
Southwest has our flight from OKC arriving at Gate 1. Our connecting flight is at Gate 50. Assuming we only have carry-on luggage, is there anything we have to do to get from 1 to 50? Do we have to go through security or customs or something else before walking over to the other concourse? Also, is 50 minutes enough time to connect during holiday travel times?
Correction to previous post... Arriving at gate 50, then connecting to gate 1.
We fly Hobby all the time, and you should have plenty of time. There are not 50 gates. 1-5 is in the new terminal, the others (20 or so through 50 or so) are in the older terminal, but Hobby is not big and the terminals are not far at all. Since your flight isn't international, I wouldn't think you would have to go through customs or security. You can walk freely between those two gates once through security, so you should be fine moving from one to the other. FYI, bathrooms are bigger and newer near gate 1, so I'd stop there before going to 50, since your time line is a bit tight.
Oops didn't see your correction. Either way, you should be fine. Again, if you have to stop at the restrooms, I would go near gate 1. You will probably be able to get in and out quicker.
Thank you!
Hi, I'm going to fly from Mexico City with Southwest arrive at (Hobby) HOU TX at 7:55 am connecting to MDW (Chicago) at 9:45 am this coming Sunday. Do I have to go through customs at HOU? If so, will I have enough time for my connection to MDW at 9:45?
Thank you,
Yes, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. You have enough time.
I will be flying from Costa Rica to Hobby with jus 1 hour layover to clear customs and connect to San Diego. Will this be enough time? I am afraid to lose the connection due to slow customs
That should be enough time. HOU is a small airport and immigration and customs there is pretty much never crowded and the checkpoint is brand new.
We are coming in from Cabo on Southwest and connecting to Boston with a 1 1/2hr layover. Is that enough time to get through customs, recheck bags and make the gate before boarding?
Yes, that should be enough time.
