The Wilmington International Airport ILM Public Safety Department is a full-service law enforcement agency responsible for all law enforcement and security at the airport. It's primary mission is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the traveling public. The Airport Public Safety Department is responsible for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF), public relations, traffic control, criminal investigations, airport community oriented policing, airport security, enforcement of local, state and federal laws at the airport and providing canine explosive detection support to the airport and surrounding communities.
