Youngstown - Warren Regional Airport YNG
serves both the Mahoning and Chenango Valleys of northeast Ohio & western Pennsylvania. It is managed by the Western Reserve Port Authority and is home to the Youngstown-Warren Air Reserve Station.
YNG Airport is located in the town of Vienna, about 10 miles east of the city of Warren, or 12 miles north of the city of Youngstown. It is accessible directly via SR 193 and can also be accessed via SR 82 & 11.
While the Airport is open 24/7, the passenger terminal opens daily at 6am and closes after the last flight.
With 2 runways and 110K yearly passengers, Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is served by low-cost carrier Allegiant Air (tel. 702-5005-8888 or open: allegiantair.com), offering year-round flights to a growing number of destinations. NOTE: Allegiant passengers who print out their boarding passes at the Airport will pay a $5 fee.
The passenger terminal at Youngstown-Warren Airport maintains ticket counters for Allegiant Air at specific afternoon hours. Other services and amenities inside the terminals include free internet service, Mikee's Restaurant , a number of vending machines, an ATM, a reservation center and an Avis rental car counter. The departure area leads to six airline gates - 2 of which have boarding boarding bridges; howeer, only gate 5 is currentyly in use.
- Recently, Warren Regional Airport received the following upgrades involving restrooms in passenger holdroom, adding emergency operation control center, expanding baggage delivery system, installing baggage screening system, replacing & upgrading sidewalks, curb, terminal facade, overhang, passenger jet boarding bridge, adding regional jet pasenger boarding bridge, upgrades to HVAC system, and upgrades to parking lot access control system, and paving access roads & parking lots; expanding rental car facilities & improve terminal signage.
