Zadar (ZAD) Airport

Zadar ZAD Airport Overview

Zadar Airport ZAD serves the Croatian city of Zadar and is gateway to the 142 Kornati islands on the Dalmatian coast. Four national parks and three nature parks are in its close proximity. (Note Coatia is now an EU country.)
ZAD Airport is located in  the town of Zmunik Donji - 8 km from the city of Zadar - and accessible by motorway 502, connecting east to motorway A1/E65 & west/north to the Zagrebacka motorway 8, continuing west-north to Zadar.

With an estimated yearly passenger count of 372,000 and two runways, Zadar Airport is Ryanair's base, and is served during the winter season mainly by Croatia Airlines to Pula & Zagreb, while during the summer season domestic & international airlines offer direct flights to European destinations, with connections around the world.  Seasonal charters also serve the Airport.

The passenger terminal at Zadar Airport was recently renovated & is spacious and modern. Check-in counters open an hour before domestic  & three hours before international departures; they close at different times prior to scheduled departure, depending on which airline or charter you take (Ryanair 40 minutes; Germanwings, Sky Europe & Intersky 30 minutes, all other international flights 20 minutes, Croatia Airlines 15 minutes).  Other amenities in the passenger terminal: Customs office, Visa office, food & drink retail concessions & duty-free and tax free shops. The Lost & Found office at the information desks is also responsible for lost or damaged luggage. Rental car desks are in the arrivals area.

Parking at Zadar Airport is available in the parking lot across from the passenger terminal.
From Zadar Airport you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus: Ryanair & Germanwings provide their own bus connection to Zadar. Croatia Airlines passengers may take the Liburnija bus to the City bus stop.
A frequent bus also stops in front of International Arrivals and serves the main bus station (platform 36) in Zadar.
