Zakynthos ZTH Airport Overview

Zakynthos International Airport ZTH (or Dionysos Solomos Airport)  is located in the Laganas area of Zakynthos Island (‘Zante’) in the Ionian Sea on the west Coast of Greece, and is situated close to the town of Kalamaki, and about  6km or 20 minutes from the town of Zakynthos.

With an estimated 1 million passengers a year, the Airport is served by Olympic Airlines with frequent flights to Athens, as well as by other European low-cost airlines and seasonal charters.

NOTE: During the summer season Thursdays and Sundays, more than two flight arrivals cause pandemonium at the check-in gates, with long lines at times reaching outside into the hot sun (the terminal itself has air conditioning).

The new passenger terminal at Zakynthos International Airport is still way too small for the onslaught of tourists arriving in the summer season.
Its Information Services can be contacted by tel. +30 269 502 9500.
There is a (overpriced) snack bar, a tax-free shop, and a store available.
Hertz & Europcar rental car agencies maintain counters in the arrivals area.
7 travel agencies do business inside the terminal (Pandair, Interplan, Zante Aniation, Plotin, Fidelity, Levante & Alkyon).

Parking at Zakynthos International is available across from the passenger terminal.

Rental car desks
are located in the Arrivals area for: Hertz (+30 269 504 5706) & Europcar (+30 269 504 1541).

To get from the Zakynthos Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi from the taxi rank in front of the passenger terminal, or take a public bus. Many hotels also offer shuttle bus services for their guests.
