Zakynthos (ZTH) Airport

Zakynthos ZTH Airport Overview

Zakynthos International Airport ZTH (also referred to as 'Zante' or 'Dionysos Solomos' Airport)  is located in the Laganas area of Zakynthos Island (‘Zante’) in the Ionian Sea on the west Coast of Greece, and is situated close to the town of Kalamaki, and about  6km or 20 minutes from the town of Zakynthos.

With an estimated 1 million passengers a year, the Airport is served by Olympic Airlines with frequent flights to Athens, as well as by other European low-cost airlines and seasonal charters.
NOTE: During the summer season - Thursdays &  Sundays - more than two flight arrivals cause pandemonium at the check-in gates, with long lines at times reaching outside into the hot sun (the terminal itself has air conditioning).
The new passenger terminal at Zakynthos International Airport is still way too small for the onslaught of tourists arriving in the summer season.  Its Information Services can be contacted by tel. +30 269 502 9500.  For VIP service call +30 26950-29530.
There is a (overpriced) snack bar, 2 bars, a duty-free shop, and a store available.
Rental car  & travel agencies maintain counters in the arrivals area.
The taxi rank is in front of the passenger terminal or you can call for a radio taxi at +30 26950 48400
Parking is available across from the passenger terminal.
The taxi rank is in front of the passenger terminal and many hotels offer shuttle bus services for their guests.

Fraport & the Copelouzos unit Slentel won the bidding and will operate (starting first Q 2015) fourteen Greek  APs- including Thessaloniki, Aktion, Kavala, Chania (Crete), Cephalonia, Corfu, Kos, Mitilini, Mykonos, Rhodes, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, and Zakynthos - paving the way to modernization.
