Getting Around the Airport

The terminal building structure at the Adelaide Airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities and gates.

Main Terminal

The main passenger terminal is a three-story building.

The ground level consists of ground transportation options via chauffeured vehicles, metro bus, rideshare pick-up, short-term car park, taxi pickup / drop off, and rental car options via thrifty, enterprise, Avis, Europcar, budget, and hertz. Other facilities include an assistance animal relief area, assistance and public phones, parent rooms, information booth, and showers. ANZ Bank and Rediteller ATMs with Travelex options. In the international Arrivals section, there is also a Heart Defibrillator.

Level 1 houses Gate Lounges 15-22 along with the International and VIP lounges, and Heart Defibrillator.

Level 2 houses the Gate Lounges 15-22 along with the Tourist Refund Scheme counter and other services and amenities.

Food, Shops & Amenities

There are many options for shopping and dining around ADL airport. Some notable shops and restaurants include Aelia Duty-Free Arrivals on Level 1; Precinct Adelaide Kitchen, Penfolds Wine Bar and Kitchen, and Soul Origin on Level 2; and Penfolds Wine Bar and Kitchen, Muffin Break, and Soul Origin on the Ground Level.

Airline Lounges

There are no exclusive airline lounges at the ADL Airport. Level 1 of the main terminal houses the International and VIP lounges open to all traveling passengers.

Terminal Tips

  • Arrive 90 minutes before flight time in case of domestic flights, and two hours before flight time in case of international flights.
  • Print your boarding passes beforehand or use electronic boarding passes to save time
  • Get all information regarding baggage sizes, airline schedule, curbside pickup/dropoff, or wheelchairs, prior to reaching the airport
  • Keep your identification documents and other items of need in a small carry-on bag
  • Check with your respective airlines for the baggage limit and other related rules
  • Keep your luggage and personal items prepared for the TSA security checkpoints
  • When traveling with kids, keep items to keep them busy and engaged such as games, laptops, books, snacks, or others depending on their interest
  • Keep an itinerary at home for your family and friends to be able to reach you in case of any emergencies
