Chambéry-Savoie Airport CMF is a small international airport, serving the French Departments of Savoie & Haute Savoie - a densely populated area with over 5.7 million people within a 30-minute drive, and 1.7 million people within less than an hour’s drive. Due to its location it is not only gateway to the French Alps (Vanoise National Park, Mont Blanc, Grande Casse) and lakes (Bourget, Aiguebelette, Annecy, Geneva), but also to over 110 first-class alpine ski resorts (Chamonix, Albertville, etc.). Chambery-Savoie Airport is on a seasonal schedule – the Winter season is between December and April and is its busiest season.
CMF Airport is located near the community of Chambery, in the Rohne-Alps region, and is close to the interchange of motorways A41 & A43 (connecting to A48 & A49).
With 2 small runways and an estimated 225,000 passengers annually, Chambery-Savoie Airport is served by some scheduled airlines with direct flights to U.K. cities and by many charter airlines.
The passenger terminal at Chambery-Savoie Airport has a capacity of one million passengers per annum , with 4 gates, an international arrivals area and 19 check-in desks. For food & drink, try the Resto ‘fly 73 restaurant/bar. Two duty-free shops and a newsstand operate in the winter season only. Tour operators are in the arrivals area.
There is also a business center in the passenger terminal with rooms to rent (tel: 33 (0)4 79 54 49 52). The passenger terminal is open 8am-8pm in summer and 7am-7:30pm in winter.

NOTE: The terminal has received a number of upgrades recently, which faclitate the management of baggage and reduce passenger wait times; the security inspection area was improved for better pessenger flow and shorter waiting times; the boarding area was expanded and its store relocated and expanded. Toilets have been upgraded; better signage has been installed.
