Information is available at Information booths located at: McNamara Terminal, tel. 734-229-7200 and at North Terminal, tel. 734-942-3095. 

Fitness Center
'Running Fit" with active wear & accessories is at Gate A65
Meditation /Reflection Rooms are located at: (a) McNamara Terminal: at Center Link Area upstairs above the FOX Sports Bar (use elevator near the TSA checkpoint; and (b) North Terminal near gate D16.
Shoe Shine is available at McNamara Terminal: Between A Gates 20-24; 34-36; 46-50; 60-64.
Spa facilities are available at 'Be Releax Spa'  - gate A45
Travel store / newsstand at gates A7 A47, A55, A66, C4, and at International Arrivals,
USO / Armed Services Lounge 'Freedom Center'  is available at the McNamara Terminal, at gate A43.
Vending machines
are available at:
   McNamara Terminal: Between A Gates 20-24; 28-30; 34-36; 46-50; 54-56; 60-64; and C gates between C2-3; C10-12 and C22-24.
   North Terminal: Across from Gate D18; Baggage Claim;and Ground Transportation Center.

Lost & Found

Items lost at DTW may be turned-in to various offices depending upon where the article was left. For items left at Transportation Security Administration (TSA) passenger screening checkpoints, please contact TSA Lost and Found at (734) 942-3126. For items left inside a ground transportation vehicle (MetroCars, MetroCabs, rental car, limo service, etc.), please contact the ground transportation provider directly. For items left onboard an aircraft, in an airline gate area, or for lost baggage, please contact the airline directly. Visit the Airlines section for airline baggage contact info. For items left elsewhere in the airport terminals, please file a Lost and Found claim with WCAA Police

Animals are not permitted in the terminals unless they are in a kennel. Exception: working dogs on a leash.
Airline policies regarding pets vary widely and it is highly recommended that you contact the airline prior to making a reservation. Here are some helpful tips for traveling with pets:

An airside pet relief area is available near gate A-34 of the McNamara terminal.  Its wide entrance accommodates wheelchairs.


Smoking is not allowed inside the terminals or in the parking garage.

International Travelers at Detroit Metropolitian DTW Airport

All international arrivals at the U.S. - with the exception of those who went through U.S. Customs clearance at participating airports - need to go through passport control (eligible passengers may now use the APC kiosks, saving time), pick up their bags and go with them through Customs clearance.  If continuing their journey*, passengers need to re-check-in their bags where indicated, before proceeding to to their connecting flight's gate. For Terminal and /or Concourse connections, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.
Count in one hour between your arrival and completion of the entry process.
Baggage carts are free in the international baggage claim area, before US Customs.

The Internatioal Arrivals Hall is located at:
(a) McNamara Terminal, lower level and one level below domestic baggage claim; and at
(b) North Terminal, baggage claim level 1, near domestic carousel 2.

*  NOTE, however:
(a) if arriving with Delta, Air France or KLM, connecting to a flight of one of these 3 airlines, you may re-check your bags & inquire at the airline counter, after clearing Customs;
(b) if arriving with Delta, Air France or KLM and connecting to a flight by another carrier, you need to exit the international arrivals area into Arrivals Hall & follow signs to Ground Transport for the free 'Terminal-Westin-Terminal' shuttle heading for the North Terminal, where you proceed to the check-in counter of  your connecting airline & re-check your bags;
(c) arriving with Lufthansa, Spirit or Royal Jordanian airlines: proceed to your connecting airline's check-in counter to re-check-in bags, and to ask for assistance.  Passengers connecting to a flight operated by Delta, Air France or KLM may follow signs to Ground Transport, then take the free 'Terminal-Westin-Terminal shuttle to the McNamara Terminal - while passengers connecting to other airlines find their check-in counters directly aboe the International Arrivals Hall.
