I am looking at purchasing tickets from PHX to AUS on Frontier, and also from AUS to FLL on Jet blue on the same day. There is a 1 hr 50 minute layover. I will be traveling with my wife and 2 young kids. The question I have is do all of us have to go back through security or can I leave my wife and kids at the Jet Blue gate (19) after getting off the plane, then collect the bags myself and check them in alone. And is there enough time to do this?

The reason I downloaded it was for shuttle info. And so far NOTHING! Anyone able to help??

No need to use a shuttle inside the terminal. If you refer to a shuttle into town, these are your options: 1. The 'Airport Flyer' bus, which runs to downtown Austin and also stops at the University of Texas; 2. The SuperShuttle (tel. 1-800-258-3826). 3. The MetroBus (tel. 512-474-1200) Bus100 starts service at the terminal's lower level at 5:20am, stopping at Pleasant Valley East 7th; at 6th Brazos, at 18th Congress & at 26th Speedway.

For great selection at Austin-Bergstrom, head straight to the Market Place, a great place to shop, eat and people-watch.

While the 11-year old Barbara Jordan Terminal at AUS is a great and passenger-friendly terminal, it's a shame that the South Terminal, opened only two years ago, still doesn't house airlines.

The separate arrivals and departure levels at AUS are getting passengers quickly from the plane to the exit doors, or from the entrance doors to the gates.
