where is the currency exchange booth located in airport? Also, can I use a credit card to purchase foreign currency
On average , how quickly could one go through customs coming from Costa Rica into Charlotte? Would a layover if 1 hour, 24 minutes be sufficient?
Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
How long a walk from the American Airlines / American Eagle terminal (not sure of the gate number yet) to the airplane itself? Is it via skybridge, tram, etc??
There are no skybridges or trams in Charlotte. All gates are in the same building and connected inside security.
Thank you, so can I assume it is a short walk to the plane from the gate?
You can walk between any two gates in Charlotte in about 15 minutes.
Gate E8 to E17 might take up to 15 minutes?
I am travelling from SJC to JFK

And I have a flight change over at CLT, will I be required Transit visa even for change over of flight ?
California, North Carolina, and New York are all located in the United States of America. Why on Earth would you need a "Transit Visa" for a domestic flight?
I'm nervous we won't make our connecting flight due to going through customs. I am not familiar with this airport. We land at 4:40 pm and our connecting flight is at 6:25 pm. Will we have time to go through customs, get our bags and recheck? Any help would be great! Thank you!
Where are you flying from and to?
From Punta Cana to CLT
And the CLT to San Francisco
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
We have a friend who is flying back home to Italy from their first visit to the U.S.

Are we allowed to walk back with them and wait until they board the plane?
No, you are not.
I'm flying with American Airlines from Lhr with a connecting flight to Orlando what happens if I miss my connecting flight?
Then you will be rebooked on the next available American Airlines flight to Orlando.
Coming back from Bahamas is 57 minutes enough time to clear customs for a domestic flight arriving from nas

Nas - clt- avp (Wilkes-barre / Scranton pa)
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Nassau. All you have to do in Charlotte is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
I will be coming in from Cancun Mexico and my original layover time was over 2 hours, but due to an airline schedule change, I now have a layover of 1 hour and 10 minutes. Will this be enough time or should I try to rebook my flights?
That is not really enough time. I would want at least 90 minutes.
We are flying from the Cayman's and have a layover in Charlotte on our way home. How long does customs and such take? Our current flight is delayed and I'm concerned we will miss our flight home. Thanks!
