My elderly parents are traveling from Flint MI to Midway on Southwest. Their final destination is Phoenix. They have a short delay at Midway. I was wondering if there are any trams/trains they will have to catch or if they will get off at one southwest gate and walk to the next flight to Phoenix gate. I don't want any surprises for them, like having to figure out how to catch the tram. Thank you
No, there are no trams or trains at MDW. All they have to do is walk from their arrival gate to their departure gate.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your comments
We are flying in from flint Michigan to midway on a Tuesday at 6:10am with only 30 minutes to get to our connecting flight to La. Will we have enough time?
Can you look up your Gate departures for changing planes prior to arrival?
Southwest usually doesn't post gate information until shortly before the flight. Southwest uses nearly every gate at MDW (they use all but four)
changing planes from mht to midway to sfo on sw. 65 minutes between landing & departure. how do i find out if new gate is in same terminal?
Midway only has one terminal and all gates are connected inside security. You have enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello I leave from MDW to Mexico with a layover in MSP for an hour. (Delta) Is terminal 1 far? I dont need to check bag again right?
Curious if anyone has experience on a SW flight, then to baggage claim, and back through security to a Porter flight to Toronto. How much time is required to make that all happen, typically? Thanks
It depends on the time of day, but I'd want at least 2 hours to be on the safe side.
I have a 4:35pm flight from CLT and an 1hr 40min layover for my connecting flight in April will I make it? I have a 6:35am flight from Seattle in April with a connecting flight in MDW with an 2hr 25min Connection/
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in MDW is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All Southwest gates are connected inside security.
Do you have to go outside for a dog to relieve themselves
Pet relief areas are usually on the Terminal's sides. Ask information at the Arrivals level.
I'm flying to MDW on Porter Airlines from Toronto, arriving at 4:10 pm on a Thursday. I have to catch a Southwest flight at 5:50. Do I have time to clear customs, get my bag, get to the SWA gate, and recheck the bag?
Make sure you clear U.S. Customs at Toronto Airport - saving you time at MDW. What you need to do: Find out from Porter Airlines if they transfer your bags to your connecting Southwest flight. If not, you need on arrival at MDW go down to the baggage claim, pick up your bag & re-check it in with Southwest Airlines. Note that the passenger terminal has Concourses A, B & C. -Porter uses A gates, Southwest uses C gates. You have sufficient time.
