I'm arriving via a domestic flight on American Airlines at 3:55pm and will have to pick up baggage and then recheck for a United Airlines international flight leaving at 6:15pm. Is this enough time between flights?
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, I am travelling from Detroit to O'Hare and from O'Hare, I have an international flight connecting in 2 hours. Since I have booked my tickets separately, I will not get boarding pass for my international flight at Detroit. Also, I am travelling with an infant, so I can't check in online and get boarding pass for an international flight. Do I need to go through security again when transferring from domestic to international at O'Hare? Would 2 hours be enough?
What airlines are you flying? Do you have checked bags?
I am flying American airlines from Detroit to ORD and then flying Etihad from ORD to Abu Dhabi. I don't have any checked baggage.
Then you should have enough time. You just have to take the ATS Train from T3 to T5, check in at the Etihad desk, and go through security.
Hi. I will be flying domestic from Indianapolis to O'Hare arriving terminal 2. I need to depart terminal 5 in only 2hours 15 min. for an SAS flight. I don't know if I'll be ticketed all the way through from Indy. I will not have luggage, just carry on. Is there enough time to get from Terminal 2 through Terminal 5 and to my flight in that amount of time? I don't know how the ATS runs and how quickly. Or is shuttle better? Thanks!
If both flights are on the same reservation you should be issued both boarding passes in Indianapolis. The ATS runs about every 5 minutes. You should have enough time.
Hello - I am flying from Amsterdam to Birmingham, AL, with 2h stop-over in ORD. 2 questions: 1) will I have to re-claim my bags and check them in for Birmingham flight? 2) Is it enough time for this? Thank you
Yes, you have to claim your bags to take them through US Customs in Chicago. What airlines are you flying? Are both flights on the same reservation?
Thank you. I am flying United Airlines, and both flight are on the same reservation.
Then yes, you should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
My family will be flying in to O'Hare on a domestic flight and need to get to Terminal 5. We will need to claim our baggage and then recheck in. We will have time to do this, but we will have a lot of luggage. We also have a toddler and an infant, so we'll be pushing a double stroller in addition to the luggage. Any advice on how to manage the connection between terminals with our all this. Are their carts available we can rent? I can't find any information on this online.
We are traveling to ORD on American Eagle in June with 12 people leaving on a Thurs. am at 7:14 and arriving in ORD at 7:45. Our flight on Alaska Air leaves ORD at 9:50. Because we booked group rates at each airlines, American says we will have to pick up our luggage in ORD and recheck it with Alaska. Alaska says that American can check it all the way through from CMH if they want to. Will we have enough time if we have to recheck luggage?
Yes, that is enough time if you have to re-check your baggage. You need to have your bags checked by 9:05 so that should be enough time.
