We arrive at DFW from Toronto Canada on AA#1259 at 9:26 am and depart on AA#5787 to Mazatlan MX at 10:45 am (we have 1hr. 19 min between flights).. Can we check our bags in Toronto right through to Mazatlan with American Airlines?? .. What would the time requirement typically be to make this connection?
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. 45-60 minutes is sufficient, so you have enough time.
If I am playing from Paris (CDG) to SAT with a layover in DFW about how long will I need my layover to be in Dallas to have enough time to make it through customs?
I recommend at least 2 hours.
I am trying to locate the gate I will be using (online terminal map at DFW) for my flight out of DFW to EVV -- Gate B46
B46 is roughly where B37 is on the Ifly Map.
I fly into DFW on QF7 then fly to Miami on QF4411. My luggage is checked through to Miami. Can I make it in 1 hr 35 min? I'll be on my own. Do I need to re-check the bags at DFW? If so, where is that done? Many thanks!
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Yes, you will have to claim your bags in DFW in order to take them through US Customs then immediately re-check them. Then you'll have to go through security and to your departure gate which will be in Terminal A or C - you will arrive in D. The flight to Miami is operated by American Airlines.
I'm flying thru american airlines at Dfw, do I pick my luggage up to go thru customs to get onto the Mexican flight?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. If your flight into DFW is domestic then all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello, I am traveling from Shanghai, China on AA into DFW with a 3 hour layover before my flight to JAX (also on AA). My question is, when I go through customs in DFW, while I need to collect my checked bags. I have heard rumours that if I have flights on the same airline, I do NOT need to collect my bags. Can anyone tell me if this is true?
You do have to collect your bags because your second flight is domestic, therefore you are fully entering the US in DFW. Regardless, you have enough time.
I am flying with 2 suitcases that will be checked, will I need to pick up the suitcases, take them through customs and then check them again? If so do they have luggage available for pick up near customs and do they have carts? I might be bringing a carry on suitcase and it would be hard to bring 3 suitcases by myself.
Yes, you will have to take them through US Customs in Dallas and re-check them at the re-check desk right after. There should be baggage carts available in the International baggage claim.
flying from Madrid to DFW for connecting to SAT. Is 1 1/2 hours enough time to get through customs & security?
It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Arriving on AA at DFW, I have 22 minutes to board AA flight to SAT. Am I kidding myself by thinking I could make it in time?
I don't think that's enough time
