INL Airport is located in International Falls - near the U.S./Canada border - and serves as U.S. Port of Entry. International Falls is known as the “Icebox of the Nation" - you need a jacket even in the summer months.
Even though Falls Airport is mostly used for general aviation, Delta (operated by SkyWest), tel. 800-221-1212) provides nonstop jet services to Minneapolis/St. Paul. The 2015 total passenger count was 31,034.
The current passenger terminal - open 24/7 - offers internet service and houses rental car counters (Avis tel. 218.285.7799; Ford: tel. 218.283.8486; & GM Car: tel. 218.283.3471) and free WiFi access.
Parking is free and available steps from the terminal.
Present and future Airport developments: In Dec. 2016 it was announced that construction on a new passenger terminal had started July 2016 - to be completed by July 2017. As of Sept. 2017 no update is available.
