Hi

I'm traveling London to Mexico connecting in Houston, I want to know if I have to collect my documented bags go thru customs and the check them in again?

Thank you
Hi there, i’m flying from Orlando to Tokyo via Houston. I only have 1 hour connection timing in Houston. The flight is booked all the way under United. Will there be sufficient time and will I need to take my baggage at Houston?
Flying United from Vancouver January 17, depart 7:00, arrive Houston 1:25pm, then United flight to Panama, departing 2:25pm. Will there be enough time to make the connection?
Yes, that is enough time. Since you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver all you have to do in Houston on your way to Panama is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks for this reassuring response. We hope our flight from Vancouver is on time.
Hi, I am arriving from the UK on United Airlines flight from the UK connecting in Houston on a flight to Panama, also on United. have a 1hr15min connection time. Is this enough time to get through? Do I have to collect my luggage and recheck it? Do I need to through customs and/or immigration when I land in Houston?

Thanks.
You have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and security. You don't have to do anything with your bags. You have barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We are flying christmas day from chicago to liberia costa rica on Southwest with a connection time of 50 minutes in Houston. Do we have enough time between flights to make that connection and do we have to go through customs of some sort in Houston?
Your connection is at Houston Hobby airport, not Houston Bush Intercontinental. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Coming in from Panama and have a 10 hr layover - final desitnation is ORD. Am checking in to a hotel for the night. Since we will have to claim baggage returning from international travel, will there be an issue checking back in with security in the morning since we're gone overnight and will have left the airport?
Yes, that's fine. You in fact will have to take your bags to the hotel with you and are expected to re-check them in the morning.
thanks for the response!
I am arriving from an International flight from Tokyo to Orlando via Houston. My connection time in Houston is only 1 hour before I connect from Houston to Orlando. I have an non USA passport. Will there be sufficient time?

Do I need to take my baggage and re-check in again?

Thanks.
That is not enough time. Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You need at least 2 hours if both flights are on the same reservation - more if they are not,
Hi there, thanks for your response. I'm taking United all the way, under the same reservation and so i'll require 2 hours.

How about on the return? From Orlando to Houston and then connecting to Tokyo (all under United). What is the minimum required time?
I am leaving RDU with a connecting flight in IAH to Guatemala City. Will I have to pick up checked baggage and go thru customs at IAH and recheck baggage before going to gate to depart for Guatemala?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do on the way to Guatemala is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, I will arrive in terminal A from Salt Lake city and my connecting onward international flight is from terminal D. I will have 4 pieces baggage. Can I use baggage cart inside skytrain to move my luggage from terminal A to D?
What airlines are you flying? If you are flying on two separate reservations you have to use the Subway Train which runs underground outside security to Terminal D.
I am flying Delta till Houston. From Houston to Doha by Qatar.
If I have to use subway train, are carts allowed as I have 4 baggages. Also, are there tram services I can avail?
Yes, you can use a luggage cart on the subway. It IS a tram.
Hello: We arrive at terminal B on flights 6073 and depart from Terminal C on flight 1434. We have one hour between flights. Will this be a problem and do we need to go through security again in Houston with connecting flights.
You do not have to go through security again. Just take the Skyway train from B to C. You have enough time.
