I am looking at a 1:47 connection from a domestic Delta to an international Delta on separate tickets, so I would have collect luggage and check in again. Can I make it?
We have 1 hour for connecting fight. Traveling on Delta and KLM airlines is connected flight. Is that 1 hour time is enough? Are they in same terminal?
UK passport holders, travelling 8th Jan Delta domestic SRQ to ATL then need to transfer to BA to LHR on the 9pm flight. Delta has shortened our connection time from 3.5 hours to 2.5 -will this be enough time? What is fastest way from domestic to international terminals -shuttle bus or private taxi or what? Last time shuttle bus took 30 mins or so. I also recall when I did this last year that security in International terminal was very busy at that time -is that usual?
The only way is the shuttle bus. Yes, security in the international terminal is busy in the early evening. You have just enough time.
Thank you ZAP.
We are leaving from Des Moines(in January so already concerned about bad weather) to Atlanta at which time we will only have a 45 minute layover to catch our flight to Cancun. The flights are all Delta. Do we have to go through security? is 45 minutes enough time to get to the international terminal? It the transit on another level and easy to get to from whatever domestic terminal we will fly into as I assume we will be running.
All you have to do is go from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart on the Plane Train. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Will 1 hour be enough connecting time?
Where are you flying into Atlanta from? Are both flights on Delta?
mt parents are connecting in atlanta from washington DC (IAD) with Delta (both planes) to go to Rome and they have only 50 minutes in atlanta: do they have enough time? they travel in business class. thank you
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. All they have to do in Atlanta on the way to Rome is go from their arrival gate to their departure gate.
Arrive on an American Airlines flight from Dallas, with a 2.45 hour connecting time to a Qatar Airways flight. Will be booked on 2 separate tickets. Where do I pickup my domestic arriving luggage and what is the best mode to get to the Qatar check-in. Will the 2.45 hour transit time (assuming on time arrival) from arrival on American, collect my baggage and getting to Qatar check in at the International terminal be sufficient? What is the best transfer mode and can it be done without going outside the terminal? Thank you.
You will claim your bags at the American Airlines baggage claim under Concourse T of the domestic terminal. You will then have to go to the ground transportation center at the other end of the Domestic Terminal building and take a shuttle bus to the International Terminal, re-check your bags with Qatar Airways, and go through security. That should be just enough time.
Thank you for you reply.
Hi, we are traveling from London to Jamaica, and have been told we are now going to be going to and from Our destination via Atlanta. but i'm concerned at how long it takes to get thru security (even though we aren't staying on US mainland) as we land in Atlanta from London at 1555 and our connecting flight to Jamaica is at 1813, and on the way back we land in Atlanta from Jamaica at 1731 and fly out of Atlanta to London at 1920. I dont believe the US are like other countries which have separate lines for connecting flights?
Yes, in Atlanta you have to go through US Immigration and customs, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have just enough time both ways.
We are landing in Atlanta Sunday at 10:09 and are scheduled to fly out at 10:47, does anyone know what we all have to do and where to go and total time it will take to make our departure time
If you are arriving from somewhere in the US all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.
I am of the understanding that this airport has a service dog bathroom facility that does not require that I would have to go BACK thru security check line between domestic and international terminals. This was mandated by federal law in 2016 for any airport that serves more than 10,000 customers per year, but do not know if fully in place at this airport. Thanks in advance.
