Hi. I'm traveling from Raleigh to JFK on Delta (arriving at terminal 2 at 15:12), and then connecting from JFK to Paris Orly (departing from terminal 1 on Air France at 18:20). These were separate tickets, but the gate agent at RDU tells me that because Delta and Air France are partners, I can check my luggage through to Paris when I depart from RDU. I'm a US citizen. Is that enough time to change terminals and get through security in JFK?
Hello, I´m booking separate reservations. Would it be time enough between two segments? First one arrives Monday June 4th from Ireland 15:05PM Air Lingus Terminal 5. And then departure 16:40 pm from Terminal 7 Interjet international flight to Mexico. Would 1:35 minutes be enough to the connections? (only carry on baggage with me).
With carry-ons only that is BARELY enough time. You will have to take the AirTrain to Terminal 7, get your Interjet boarding pass if you can't get it online, and go through security.
I am booking tickets and JFK is a stop. It will be 4 passengers (2 much older) and we will be checking bags from our departure airport in Miami, and will be traveling to East Asia.
Questions: 1) I know I have to take the AirTrain between Terminals. Will I have to go through security again?
2) Do we have to go grab our luggage and transport them ourselves between terminals? Or will it automatically be transferred since we checked them in our departure airport?
Yes, you have to go through security again in Terminal 1. If it's one reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK on the way to Asia. If it's two separate reservations then you'll have to claim them and re-check them with the second airline yourself.
Hi! I am travelling from Rio to JFK (arriving at 640AM) with a connecting flight to Charlotte. I am a US citizen and will have checked bags. I made the flight under one reservation so I assumed it was enough of a window and both flights are with American Airlines, but have never been in JFK before. Is this a long enough layover to get through everything and make my flight in time?
That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, I will travel on Saturday(13.01) from Mexico City to JFK with checked baggage. Plane will be in JFK at 15:30 in terminal 7. At 19:40 I will have a flight from JFK Terminal 1 to Paris Orly. Will it be enough time? PS I am not US citizen.
Tickets are separate.
Yes. That should be enough time. You will have to take your bags with you on the AirTrain to re-check them with the second airline.
I will be arriving to JFK on March7th at 4:40 PM flying with Lufthansa Airlines from Munich, Germany. I have a connecting flight with American Airlines at 7:00 PM ( separate reservations) .. Is that enough time to clear customs when I land and make my 7:00 PM connecting flight to PHX?
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will have to transfer your bags yourself on the AirTrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 8.
