I have a flight from Tampa to JFK. I have 2 hours to catch a second flight from JFK to Heathrow both on Delta Airlines. Do I have enough time?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal 2 you can get to Terminal 4 where you depart using a shuttle bus that runs inside security.
Thank, ZAP. My delta flt is delayed and arrives in term 2 and i have to get to Term 4 fast and was wondering if I have to go in and out of security. Thank goodness there is a bus that runs inside security. Do you know where you get the bus in Term 2? Or just follow signs for Connecting Flts?
We are flying into JFK, terminal 8 and then flying out 3 hours later at terminal 4; do we have to leave the security area and take a cab or another form of transportation to terminal 4 and is that enough time to do so?
You will leave security, take the AirTrain to Terminal 4 and go through security. Where are you flying into JFK from and where are you flying to? Do you have checked bags?
Prague to JFK to Washington DC
We are flying from PDX to JFK to Prague
No checked bags
You have enough time for the connection but don't really have enough time to go anywhere.
My daughter is flying El Al from Tel Aviv to Kennedy. She needs to get to Boston. What domestic airlines would be easiest to connect to or are they all the same? How much time is the needed in between? She will need to retrieve bags and recheck them
The easiest are Delta or JetBlue as they use the terminals closest to El Al's. If it's two separate reservations I recommend at least 3 hours.
My son is traveling from Ghana on Saturday, getting into JFK and then leaving on a domestic Delta flight to Minneapolis, MN two hours later. What all has to happen during that 2 hours? I know he arrives at Terminal 4, but where does he need to get to?
He will go through US Immigration, claim his bags, go through US Customs, re-check his bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to his departure gate. He has just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I'm flying from Sao Paulo, scheduled to land at JFK at 6am, then connecting to a flight to London which leaves at 8.15am - both flights are with Delta on same through-ticket. Is this enough time to make the connection?
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, i have got reservation from Vayama from SYR (Syracuse) to DEL (New Delhi) via JFK. Carriers are Jetbule from SYR-JFK and Air-India from JFK-DEL. Available transfer time is 2 hours. I should get baggage in T-5, take air-train to T-4, check-in, security and board. Is this correct and is it doable with 2 hr connection time ?
If it's all the same reservation then you don't have to claim your bags in JFK. Just take the AirTrain to T4, get your Air India boarding pass if JetBlue can't issue it, and go through security. You should have enough time.
