Hi,

I am traveling to Chicago but I will be dropped off to JFK's international departure gate (my family is going abroad and we're all in one car)
Where is the domestic departure gate? Also, how long does it take and how do I get there?
JFK doesn't have an "international departure gate" and a "Domestic departure gate" It has 6 terminals, 5 of which handle international flights. What airlines are you and your parents flying?
Hi,
I would like to know if I can make it from terminal 1 to 5 in 2h15 knowing that I will have checked luggage.
If i understood right, I should pick up my luggage in T1 then drop them again in another counter in same terminal then run to T5! Right?!
I'm flying from Casablanca to JFK on Royal Air Maroc then to Vegas on JetBlue.
Thanks for you help
If it's one reservation then you can use the re-check desk in T1 for your luggage. That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, I am coming from Zurich into JFK and 2 hours connecting time to DCA (final destination). While both legs are booked with Delta, but separate reservations.

Do I need to go through custom at JFK then recheck bag or can I walk from arriving gate ( i believe terminal 2?) from Zurich directly to the domestic gate (terminal 4?) going to DCA then clear custom at DCA? I only have about 2 hours of connecting time.

Thank you.
Yes, in JFK you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with Delta, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Hi
I would like to know if i have got enought time for the connection at JFK.
From Boston with Delta to JFK at 6:30pm
from JFK to London with British Airways (need to wait for the luggage and have to pass through immigration as I'm from EU) flight is at 9:30pm on terminal 7.
Are 3 hours enough for the connection?

Thanks,
Lorenzo
There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. You will just claim your bags from Delta in Terminal 2 or 4, take it on the AirTrain to Terminal 7, check it with British Airways, and go through security. You should have enough time.
Is two hours enough time for a layover from Fll to JFK and then need to get on flight to go to Iceland but have two hours in between the flight. Otherwise I could Do a flight that has a four hour layover.
What airlines are you flying? Do you have checked bags?
Flying JetBlue from Fll than flying Icelandair to Iceland. Yes we will have to check in bags.
If it's all one reservation that's enough time. if it's two separate reservations that's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I am flying from YUL where I will have passed U.S. customs. My Delta flight arrives at terminal 4, but my Delta/code share Alitalia flight leaves from Terminal 1. I do have 4 hours if my first flight is on time. Do I go through immigration again? What terminal should I pass through security? Better to walk or AirTrain?
You do not have to go through immigration again. You will take the airtrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You have plenty of time.
We are arriving in the 7th terminal by international lines UIA, go through US immigration, pick up luggage, go through Customs. Then we are departing from 2nd terminal by domestic line Delta. Connection time is 4 houres.

- Is it enought time for all procedures, we are immigrats with DV visa?

- Can I re-check my luggage in 7th terminal, and then go to 2nd terminal by air train?
That should be just enough time. No, you have to take your bags to Terminal 2 on the AirTrain to re-check them with Delta.
I am flying from Boston to Abu Dhabi via New York JFK. Will I need to pick up my luggage and recheck the bags at JFK again? Also, where do I clear immigration - at Boston or at JFK?
There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. If both flights are on the same reservation you won't claim your bags in JFK.
I'm coming from Abu Dhabi and will have gone through customs before hand my flight lands at 4.20 in Terminal 4 and I have to transfer to Terminal 5 for my 5.30 JetBlue flight with no checked luggage. Should I make it?
That should be enough time if the flight from Abu Dhabi is on-time. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 5.
Hi,

I am flying from AMS to ROC via JFK with Delta. My international flight from AMS to JFK arrives in Terminal 4 and my domestic flight to ROC from JFK departs from Terminal 4. Once I get off the plane at JFK, do I have to go through immigration and security again?
Yes, in JFK you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
