Hello all, I will fly from Dublin to Boston with Delta via JFK. I have 1 hour 4 mins from landing at JFK to the next plane taking off for Boston. I will have one piece of hold luggage. Is this enough time? Thanks for any help
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you depart from Terminal 2, Delta runs a shuttle there inside security.
I am flying on Delta to JFK with a connection to London on Virgin. I only have 1 1/2 hours to connect. Do I change terminals and what are my chances of making it???? Don't feel good about this!
You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. If you arrive in 2, Delta runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal 4. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time and both flights are on the same reservation.
Hi, My flight will arrive from Malaga to JFK at 16.55 (Air France - operated by Delta) and from JFK I need to go to Miami the same day. As my international flight is operated by Delta, is there any way if I book my second flight by Delta also they will take my luggage and I do not have to check in with it again at JFK? Could you please also recommend a time frame between the 2 flights? I guess the domestic flight won't depart from the same Terminal as International. Many thanks in advance,
You will have to claim your bags at JFK to take them through US Customs regardless. If the second flight is on Delta 2.5 hours is sufficient. If it's on another airline you need more like 3 hours.
My egyptair flight arrives in terminal 5 at 3:15PM and my connecting JetBlue flight to San Jose California departs at 6:30PM from terminal 4. Do I need to go through customs and collect my bags and then go to terminal 4 to check in and go through security? Will I have enough time?
You have the terminals reversed. Yes, you have to do all of that. You should have enough time.
Hi I'm arriving from Buffalo NY into T2 on a Delta domestic flight and need to transfer to AA T8 for a second domestic flight. If on time I have 2.5 hrs between flights. What's the best way to transfer between T2 and T8 and do I have enough time? Thanks guys.
The only way to get between Terminals is the AirTrain. It runs outside security so you will have to go through security again in T8.
Please let me know if you think I will have enough time. Flying into JFK Terminal 1 from Italy. Scheduled to arrive at 6:35pm Only reasonable flight out that night to ATL is 8:00pm. American citizen. Will I have to go through customs at JFK or is that done in Italy? Will I have enough time (assuming flight is on time)? Thanks.
You will go through US Immigration and Customs in JFK. That is not enough time for your connection. Plan on spending the night in New York.
I am arriving in Terminal 2 on a domestic Delta flight and need to go to terminal 4 for an international flight on Emirates. Will I need to go through security again? How much time should I allow between flights? The tickets are separate.
Do you have checked bags? If so you need at least 3 hours between flights and you will have to transfer your bags yourself and will have to go through security again.
I am flying domestically SFO-JFK with Jet Blue (arriving T5) and then departing internationally JFK-LIM (departing T8). Is a 90 minute layover doable? I don't have any checked baggage and the flights were purchased together.
My second flight is with LATAM if that makes a difference
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. You just have to take the AirTrain to T8, get your LATAM boarding pass if you don't already have it, and go through security.
I'm flying from the UK with American Airlines, flight AA6142 and connecting on to American Airlines AA83 flight to Auckland with a touch down in LA. Do i have to collect my luggage at JFK airport or will it go straight through to Auckland?
Yes, in JFK you will arrive in Terminal 7, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal 8, go through security and to your departure gate. Note that for flight 83, you will also have to change planes in Los Angeles (but that's all you have to do there).
