I'm British and flying in to JFK on Delta on Tue 8/8/17 landing at 4:30pm. I then fly out of JFK at 6:59pm on AA to Charlotte NC. Is this now enough time to do immigration (with a Visa), luggage, recheck in and change terminals?
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Ok, great, thank you for your help!
I'm British and fly in from Manchester UK to JFK on Tues 8th Aug on Delta, due to land at 3:25pm. My connecting flight from JFK to Charlotte departs at 6:30pm. With immigration (I have Visa), luggage and terminal changes in JFK is 3hrs 5mins enough time in between? Thanks, Jonathan
...also, my connecting domestic flight is with AA
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
flying Delta from Orlando landing 22.30 then from JFK to Glasgow , also Delta@23.45 we have ihr 30mins is that enough time ? what happens if it isn't ?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in JFK is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. T2 and T4 are connected by a shuttle inside security. If your flight from Orlando is late you will be booked on the next day's flight to Glasgow.
our flight time has now been moved to 23.15 so we now have 45 minutes is it still do able ??
That makes it much harder, but it's still not impossible.
We are flying in from London, UK to Indianapolis via JFK. We are flying AA all the way but only have 1hr 50mins lay over in JFK... Is this going to be enough time? Is it AA's responsibility to ensure we have enough time? We are young enough to hustle, but old enough to need rests along the way!!
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. Yes, if you miss your connection because the first flight is late then AA has to rebook you.
I'm flying from Chicago (ORD) to JFK on a Delta flight departing from Chicago at 4:33PM and arriving at JFK at 8:00PM. I'm connecting at JFK from T4 to T1 on partner airline flight with AirFrance departing at 9:50PM. That leaves me with approx. 1 hour and 50 min for my connection time. I'm flying to Paris directly from JFK and that's my final destination. Should I change my departing time flight to an earlier flight? I will probably be charged, not sure, but I don't think 1 hour and 50 min. might be enough. I was told I can check-in my luggage at ORD and will go to Paris without me having to pick it up at JFK and then re-check it with AirFrance. Anyone out there that can advise me on this?
Yes, that is enough time. You don't have to do anything with your bags in JFK on your way to Paris. You just have to take the AirTrain to T1 and go through security.
Thank you very much-- really appreciate it.
Im arriving at JFK at terminal 4 at 13 30 and have connecting flight from terminal 8 at 16 30.Will i have enough time for my connecting flight.Do i need to rechecked my luggage
Where are you flying into JFK from? On what airline? What airline are you flying out on? Are both tickets on the same reservation?
im flying from BELGRADE AIR SERBIA and my connecting flight is with AA to PHOENIX,AZ everything is on one reservation.
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the AirTrain to Terminal 8, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
thank you
We are flying from Grand Cayman to Manchester - 1st flight Cayman Airways 2nd flight Thomas Cook all booked through Thomas Cook. Will we have to collect our luggage and re-check them in or will they be checked all the way through to Manchester?
Sorry my first flight is with JetBlue not Cayman Airways
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, change terminals on the AirTrain, re-check it with Thomas Cook, and go through security.
I'm flying out of Rome to JFK. I have a three hour lay over with a connecting flight to Seattle. Will I have to go through security again or just customs ? Also if I did want to leave the building to smoke would I be able to
Do so and do you believe I'd have enough time ?
Once you clear US Customs you will be outside security. So you could go outside and have a smoke then. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We are arriving to JFK from Indonesia with SIA at 11 am and catching another flight from JFK to Tampa at 3:00 pm. Not the same itinerary. Is this enough time to pass custom, get checked bags and checking with the next flight at 3:00. Thanks
Yes, that should be enough time if the Singapore flight is on-time.
Might 75 min. transit time be enough for immigration, customs e.g.
It is a one ticket flight with Singapore Airlines from Frankfurt via JFK to Los Angeles.
No, that is not enough time.
