Is 1.5 hours enough time to make a connection if I arrive and depart to/from JKF Terminal 4? I'm not sure if I have to clear security. My original layover was 2.5 hours and Virgin moved the departure time up an hour.
If both flights are on the same reservation you don't have to go through security, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
They are on the same reservation. Thank you!
Delta PHL to JFK, arriving 6:20 pm (early March) then connecting to Singapore Airlines to FRA at 8:15. No checked bags, but separate tix, no status anywhere, and a school age child. Reasonable? If delayed in PHL would DL be able to give enough notice that I can hop on Amtrak or even an Uber if needed?
That's just enough time if everything goes perfectly. If the flight is delayed, you have no chance of making it via Amtrak since you'd have to transfer to 30th st. then take Amtrak to Penn, then take the LIRR and AirTrain from Penn.
Thank you!

2 American citizens with global entry, arriving to JFK on Singapore airlines at 11:10 am. Connecting flight on delta was originally booked at 3:25 pm but delta has subsequently changed the time to 1:59 pm. We will have checked bags. I'm not sure of terminals yet. Assuming different terminals, should this be enough time? Thank you
Where are you flying out on Delta to? Is it two separate reservations?
Flying Delta to Atlanta. Yes, 2 separate reservations, flying Singapore airlines into JFK
With Global Entry I think you have time. You arrive in Terminal 4 and depart from Terminal 2 or 4.
Flying into JFK Terminal 5 at 12:07am on JetBlue and flying out of Terminal 1 to Beijing via Air China at 2:30am. Whole thing was booked on Air China's website, so is my checked luggage transfer handled? Will I have enough time to go through security again at Terminal 1?
Not that it likely matters to the question, but I meant Orlando-JFK, not O'Hare. Wrong code! My bad.
Yes, your bags should be handled for you. You just have to take the AirTrain to Terminal 1 and go through security. You should have enough time.
Thank you ZAP, for the vote of confidence.
When I found this thread and started reading through it I was astounded by how many of these questions you personally had answered... going back quite a ways.
As far as I'm concerned, you are the patron saint of JFK airport.
TSA precheck Americans arriving back in US from Barcelona. I bought tickets on AA to JFK that arrive at JFK at 12:55 and depart at 2:55. Any way we'll make that? Will mobilepass help?
It's possible if everything goes perfectly.
My niece is coming from Amsterdam via JFK to MSP will she have to get her suitcase and go through emigration. She is flying with Delta is it all in one terminal? arrival in JFK 1:10 departure to MSP 4:20
Yes, in JFK she will go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to her departure gate. She will arrive in Terminal 4 and depart from Terminal 2 or 4.
I am landing at JFK T4 at 16:42 hrs and have a connecting from Terminal 2 at 18:35 hours. I will be using the sky priority service/line. I am an Indian passport holder and will have to clear immigration/customs. Any advise on the transit pl?
You should have barely enough time.
My Aeroflot flight is scheduled to arrive at 13 15 at JFK T1 then I would like to take Delta flight to Montreal from T4 at 15 52. Separate tickets and I am a Canadian citizen. Is there enough time for this?
That's barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
My American flt arrives into terminal 8 @ 252pm and I fly on LOT in terminal 7 @ 615pm. How do I get from 8 to 7?
You take the AirTrain. You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi guys, I'm planning on booking two separate tickets. 1) Delta flight from Seattle to JFK that lands at 4pm and 2) Egypt Air flight from JFK to Cairo departing 6:30pm the same day. Will the 2 and a half hours in JFK be enough time?
I'm a US citizen with TSA pre check and i'll be checking in luggage on both flights. Thanks in advance
Pre-check won't help you in JFK because Egyptair is not a Pre-check participant. You have just enough time. You will have to transfer your bags between airlines yourself.
Thanks a lot, ZAP! I will go ahead an book the trip. I have just over 3 hours on my return trip so I'm hoping that is enough time since I have global entry. Once again, I really appreciate your input.
