I’m flying back to the US from Paris and will arrive at JFK at 6:30 pm. AA flight leaves for DCA at 9:30- only carry on luggage. Is that enough time to clear customs? Thank you!
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thank you!
I have travelled recently on jan4th 2018 on flight "EY101" from AUH and suppose to land in JFK instead flight is diverted to Washington D.C - IAD airport on jan4th evening @5pm due to the storm in newyork
I was told that checked in baggage will not be taken out from flight that night and the flight will be flying to JFK next day with all the bags
so i stayed in the hotel that night in DC and ethihad confirmed a united airline flight for me on Jan 5th morning from IAD to RDU which is my final destination and told the baggages will be delivered to my final address (my address: 106 founders walk drive, morrisville, NC-27560)

so im trying to reach NY etihad baggage services @ +17187513148 and its going to voicemail all the time.
Customer care is saying they dont deal with baggage or ground team on the status and they have raised or sent an email internally to baggage team about my delayed baggage 5 times now and still get any response.
Can someone help me here?
Sorry, this is ifly.com, nobody here can help you. Many people whose bags were disrupted during that storm are still waiting for their bags, on almost every airline (but especially foreign airlines who don't have people on the ground in the US to expedite their bags).
I have a return ticket Amsterdam - JFK in June. On the day of my return from NY to Ams I will fly to JFK from Washington.
I could arrive in JFK terminal 2 at 16.15, my flight to Ams terminal 4 leaves at 19.37. I will have to reclaim my baggage and check it in again.
Do I have enough time for this scenario?
That should be plenty of time.
My daughter arrived with deverted flight from Chicago (IL) on Friday night january 5th and didn't get luggage because of weather conditions luggage get stuck in plane. How we can find it if no-one phone is answering and no representatives of LOT company are in airoport that we could talk to them.
They're probably still sorting through it all.
I hope so...but would be nice at least to know it for sure. Did you also fly on that flight?
No, but many people are in the same situation.
How are things at Terminal 5 at JFK? We're flying in the afternoon of Monday Jan. 8 and we're wondering if operations are still bad (% of gates at terminal 5 closed, baggage claim backup, long waits for ground transportation).

Any on-the-ground details would be really helpful!
I have global entry, have one checked bag...will I have time to go through customs and make flight?
Where do I go.
What airlines are you flying? Are both flights on the same reservation?
American yes same reservation
Then you arrive in Terminal 8, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate, also in Terminal 8. That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I have an Interjet flight arriving at JFK at around 1530 and further on an AerLingus flight going from JFK to Dublin at 2110. The flights were bought by me separately. Do I need to go through customs ? If I do, are 5-6 hours enough if I will have only a cabin bag ?
Thank you
Yes, you need to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5, re-check your bags with Aer Lingus and go through security. You have enough time. If you are a Mexican citizen you will need a US Transit Visa and if you are an EU citizen you will need to complete ESTA.
I am a US citizen going to Thailand in around a month. What is a visa and do I need one to go to Thailand? We are only staying for around 2 weeks. Also this trip is just for vacation purposes not work or anything like that.
On a side note, if anyone has been to Thailand and can recommend things to do, (specific store/restaurant/place names and such) that would be greatly appreciated.
US Citizens can visit Thailand for up to 30 days without a Visa.
I will be flying from London into JFK on AA on a Saturday afternoon. I have a Delta flight from JFK to CMH about 3 hrs later. I have Global Entry and no checked bags. Is 3hrs enough layover time. First time at jfk with global entry
With no checked bags and global entry that should be enough time.
I will be arriving at JFK at 11:50 p.m. but I wont be picked up until 10:00 a.m. is there a waiting area at the airport for me to stay.
The best area to stay would be the upper or lower level lobby of Terminal 4.
