Arriving LIS thru American Airlines from PHL at around 9am on a Sunday and would like to meet up with party coming from MAD (Air Europa) at a later time. Is there a place I could safely wait in the airport? Is it going to be airside or landside?

Arriving on a UA flight from the U.S. in the early morning. On time record for flight isn't too good, plus have no idea how busy this airport is. I'm wondering if anyone can give a guess as to how long it will take to get our bags, clear whatever customs/immigration check there is, and get out to the line for taxis.
