I just have 2 hours to go to Terminal 4 from clearing customs after arriving from Phil Airlines to connect flight to Tucson. How do I get to Terminal 4? will i have enough time ? I have a luggage to claim too.
You just walk from the International Terminal where you arrive to Terminal 4. Terminal 4 is right next door, to the right (with the flow of vehicle traffic). You will have to bring your bags with you to Terminal 4 to re-check them with American. You have barely enough time if your Philippine flight is on-time.
Also, I don't know what you mean by "Delata", but if you mean Delta Air Lines, they use Terminal 5, not Terminal 4.
Once arriving at LAX from Houston will I have to reenter security before boarding plane to Honolulu? I only have a 45 minute layover.
What airlines are you flying?
Spirit from Houston to LA. Then Hawaiian Airlines to Honolulu.
Yes, you will have to go from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 and through security. You probably won't have enough time to do that unless your Spirit flight arrives quite early. You should not have booked that reservation.
Ok thank you for the help. I didn't book it and won't. It was just the only available that day in the time frame I needed. I'll just have to book for the day before. Thanks again!
Before my departing flight on Monday, I need to pick-up an item that I lost on an AA flight last week. Can I get from the baggage claim area in Terminal 4 (AA's lost and found is there) to the departure check-in area?
Yes, there is an escalator between the Baggage claim and departures level.
Hi thanks for your response. Will I need to go through security and immigration on arrival st LAX with Alaska Airlines from Fairbanks and Anchorage before collecting my baggage? Will I have to then go through another security area with Cathay Pacific?
Only international arrivals at U.S. need to go through immigration. Alaska is in Terminal 6 (T6) - however, some of its arrivals are also at Bradley Terminal ('TBIT' or TB)--your ticket should indicate which terminal; while Cathay is in the Bradley Terminal . If you bought both flights on one ticket, bags will automatically be transferred - if not, (and your Alaska flights arrives at T6), find out fom Alaska if they will transfer- or else you would have to take your bags along & check them in at TBIT's Alaska counter. (From T6, you would need to board the LAX bus Route A stopping on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops will be T7, T8, T1 - T3, and TBIT - 6 stops or about 15-18 mins.) On arrival at TBIT, you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.
You will arrive in Terminal 6 and depart from the Bradley Terminal. When you get to the International Terminal you will have to get your Cathay boarding pass and go through security. It is much faster to walk from T6 to the International Terminal than to take the shuttle bus.
We arrive at lax at 8 am at terminal 5 from sydney and have a flight to msp at 11.30 am from terminal 5 aswell have family members come up to see us on our stop over its it worth them coming or is the 3 and half hours not long enough of a stopover
You'll be out of customs at about 8:30 and will have to head back through security at about 10:30, so they will be able to see you for maybe 2 hours. It's up to you to decide whether you think that's worth it or not.
Also will you be moved through quicker with a toddler going through customs thanks for your previous reply
Making an international connection through LAX. Scheduled to arrive in Terminal 7 (LAX), and departing Terminal 1 (LAX). I have about 90 minutes to make the connection. Any suggestions for getting through this transfer quickly and with minimal fuss?
There are no LAX-FRA flights from Terminal 1. Terminal 1 is used by Southwest Airlines. What airlines are you flying?
If I am flying in on Alaska from Mexico, and departing to SJC on American, on two separate reservations, is it possible to recheck my bags outside of Immigration and Customs or do I need to recheck them at American?
Alaska and American do have an interline agreement, so you can ask the Alaska agent in Mexico if they can tag your bag through to SJC by showing your AA confirmation. However, they are not obligated to do so since you bought separate reservations. However, if they do, then you can re-check your bags immediately after exiting customs rather than having to take them to T4 to recheck at the AA counter.
From T7, which is the cheapest shuttle I can take to reach down town hotels
You have to go through USDA inspection leaving SJU. You won't have to do anything with your baggage in Miami as San Juan->Miami is considered a domestic flight. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will be in the same terminal.
