Airport Information booths
are located in each of the two terminals near the curbside entrances. If you have additional questions, please call our Visitor Services Volunteers at (510) 563-2721, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.   After hours, call our airport operators for assistance at 510-563-3300.

Lost & Found

Lost and Found Customers who lose personal items at Oakland International Airport (OAK) may check with the appropriate lost and found location depending on where the item was last seen. Airport Lost and Found The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Lost and Found Airline Lost and Found Items Lost In Public Areas For items lost in public areas including Airport terminals, curbside and in on Airport parking lots, please contact the Airport Lost and Found. The Airport Lost and Found holds found items for 90 days.  Found items not claimed within 90 days are surrendered to local law enforcement for disposal. Airport Lost and Found

Include the following in the body of the email: Full Name Full Address Contact Phone Number Date of travel (example: Jan 1, 2017) Your Email address Detailed description of your lost item Please note, sending more than one email may delay our response.  Items Left At Security Checkpoints For items left at the Terminal One and Terminal Two Security Checkpoints, please contact the TSA Lost and Found. Email is the most efficient and effective avenue for retrieving your left behind item. Correspondence with TSA Lost and Found must include the following information: Your first and last name in the subject line. Include the following in the body of the email: Full Name Full Address Contact Phone Number Date of travel (example: Jan 1, 2017) Your Email address Detailed description of your lost item Items Left On An Aircraft Personal items left on an aircraft are stored and maintained by the specific air carrier. These items are not submitted to Airport Lost & Found or the TSA Lost & Found. Customers must contact their airline to determine if their item is in the airline’s possession.

Mail Center

A USPS Mail box located curbside at Terminal 2,  near the Airport Information Booth.

Pets

Animals are not permitted in the terminal at the Airport unless they are being used to assist disabled individuals, or are in proper pet carriers.

Smoking

There are smoking areas located near the curbside of each terminal.

International Travelers at Metropolitan Oakland OAK Airport

All international arrivals - with the exception of those who went through U.S. Customs clearance at participating airports - need to go through passport control, pick up their bags and go with them through Customs clearance .  If they continue their journey  they need to re-check-in their bags where indicated, before proceeding to to their connecting flight's gate.

NOTE: Prior to departure make sure that your original airline will transfer bags to your connecting flight - if not, you need, after customs clearance, take them to your connecting terminal and  check them in at your connecting airline counter before proceeding to your gate.
