Do I have to go through customs in Miami, if my connector takes me right out of country?
Coming from San Juan and heading to Providencialis (Turk and Caicos)
Flights from Puerto Rico to the mainland are domestic flights and there is no US Customs when leaving the US. So, no, you don't have to go through immigration or customs in Miami on your way to Providenciales.
So I just got off the phone with AA. They told me the plane touches down in Miami at gate B31 and connects to gate D3 but I don't see a B terminal. Maybe I heard wrong?
You probably misheard. It probably arrives at D31 or E31.
I will be coming into Miami Airport from Toronto, Canada and taking a connecting flight to Managua. Will I have to go through security/customs again once I land? Is a 1h 45 min between flights enough time?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. If both flights are on American, all you have to do in Miami on the way to Managua is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
What about the other way around? I'm going from Panama City to Montreal with only one hour 35 minutes in MIA.
My flight was just switched for this Friday, August 11th. I am flying into Miami on AA and should arrive at 9:32am. My connecting flight is 1 hour and 8 minutes later and is going to Antigua. Is there enough time? I am connecting with the same airline. Do I have to go back through security? How far away are the gates?
If the first flight is domestic that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.
It's Boston to Miami. I haven't flown much so I don't know much. Do flights into and out of Miami often get delayed because of Florida weather??
Weather delays in Florida are infrequent, but can be severe when they do happen.
Is 40 minutes enough time between connections?? do I have to go thru security or remain in AA terminal
All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the flight from Chicago is on-time.
so the arrival and departure gates are in same terminal?
D or E. E is connected to D inside security by a walkway.
Hi,. Am trying to book a flight from the Dominican Republic to Washington DC. Is 2 hours enough time to clear immigration and customs and catch the domestic flight?
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
is 1hour 49/min enough to go from concourse D(TAM Brazilian Airlines , Operated by: American Airlines) to concourse J(TAM Brazilian Airlines)?
do we need to go thru TSA/immigration?

Where are you flying into Miami from?
From Denver
That is enough time. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US, but you will have to go through security again in South Terminal-J
Hello, all! I'll be traveling back to the US from overseas this fall with my Cocker Spaniel, who will be checked in his crate. I'd love to know more about the system at MIA for collecting my dog, clearing customs, finding the pet relief area, and then rechecking him onto my domestic flight to my final destination. I'll be traveling American Airlines, and I'll have a ton of luggage and a baby in a stroller, so I'd be grateful for any information that might help me to minimize stress during my connection. Thanks in advance for any and all help!!! :)
I need to pick up baggage in Terminal D and then Check in at AA counter. How do I get there?
The AA counter is in Terminal D.
are there people movers between concourses
It depends on the concourse. Be more specific.
when i exit the tram from car rental return, is there a people mover to concourse "J"
Yes, there is.
