Hi - We arrive in terminal A from CLE and have about 45 minutes to get to our next flight in terminal C to Tokyo. Can you advise the quickest way to do this? Will we have to go through security again? Thank you for your help!
You can take the shuttle bus inside security from A to C. You have just enough time if the flight from Cleveland is on-time.
Thanks in advance for helping me. I'm flying in March with United from Grand Rapids, ariving at 4:37 PM. I'll be leaving with TAP towards Lisbon at 6:05 PM. It are 2 separate reservations. Do I have enough time to transfer flights? I'm not an US citizen if that changes things with customs. Do I have enough time or should I change my flight?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. If you have checked bags that will be very difficult as you will have to claim your bags, go to Terminal B, re-check your bags with TAP and go through security.
I'm flying United from Washington DC to EWR Terminal A and next plane will leave one hour later in C with United to Denmark. Is that enough time?
Also, I have checked baggage - Do I need to collect and re check?
United doesn't fly to Denmark, so your second flight will be on SAS from Terminal B. You don't have to do anything with your bags if both flights are on the same reservation. Just take the shuttle bus to your departure concourse in Terminal B. You have just enough time.
Thank you, forgot to mention that I will have a second layover in Frankfurt (Newark to Frankfurt with United). Will that change anything?
Then yes, you do depart from Terminal C, you instead take the shuttle bus to Terminal C after arrival.
i have a flight from Detroit to Delhi ( connecting at Newark ) with layover time 1 hour 55 minutes and i have checked baggage. 1) do i need to collect baggage again at newark and check in again for Delhi ? 2) would i need to go through security again ? 3) Is 1 hour 55 minutes enough time ?
On my return from Delhi to Detroit ( connecting at Newark) , layover is 1 hr 15 mins again I'll have checked baggage. 1) do i need to collect baggage again at Newark and check in again for Detroit ? 2) would i need to go through security & Immigration at Newark ? 3) Is 1 hour 15 minutes enough time ?
On your way to Delhi all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal A, there is a shuttle inside security to Terminal C where you depart. You have enough time. On the return you do not have enough time as that way you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, go to your departure terminal and through security. 75 minutes is not enough time.
We are coming in to Newark at Terminal A through United and have 1.5 hours before the next departure from Terminal B through Lufthansa. We have some checked bags as well. How do we get there and is there enough time? Thank you!
There is a shuttle bus inside security. You should just have to take that to your departure concourse. You should have enough time.
Hi, United just changed my flight to a much later time. I'm not really happy about it but I want to find out if I have to change to an earlier flight so I'll be certain that I catch my connecting flight. I'll be arriving at Newark at 4:37 PM with United, and I'll be leaving with TAP at 6:05 PM.
I have no idea how far it is, and how long customs is going to take. I know that I have to transfer my luggage myself.
Where are you arriving from? Are both flights are on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
I'm flying in from Grand Rapids MI, and no it are 2 separate reservations.
I have incoming flight from Beijing, arrive around 5:30 PM,on UA terminal B Connection to Toronto Canada ,8:40 PM On air Canada terminal A I am wondering do I need to claim my baggage and go through the custom? And would it be enough time for me ?
Yes, you need to claim your bags to take them through US Customs then re-cheeck them. You have plenty of time.
I have a 12 hour layover between my domestic and international flights. First leg from Atlanta to Newark then Newark to Tokyo. It is on the same airline and I believe that it's from in the same terminal.
Can I check in for both flights in atlanta and then just stay overnight on the terminal for the following flight or do I have to recheck in for my international flight in Newark.
Thanks in advance for the help.
You'll have to claim your bags overnight. Your connection is too long.
Thanks for the response. I have a few follow up questions that I would appreciate your feedback on... 1) Once I claim my baggage at baggage claim, I am assuming I can spend the night at the airport if I choose to. Is this possible or done by other passengers? 2) I am guessing the following morning, I would just have to check in for the international flight per the usual process... ie 3 hours before the flight etc...
