Getting Around PBI Airport

The layout of PBI Airport includes three main concourses: A, B, and C. Concourse A primarily serves Bahamasair and Silver Airways and is unique in having 4 hardstand gates, requiring passengers to walk out to the aircraft. Concourses B and C are equipped with jetway gates, housing a variety of airlines. Concourse B is utilized by Air Canada, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and United Airlines with 13 gates. Concourse C, with 15 gates, accommodates Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, and Spirit Airlines.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

PBI Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located in the Main Terminal, near the entrance to Concourse B. There are also additional security checkpoints located at the entrance to Concourse C and at the gate areas for both concourses. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to pass through security.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

For passengers who want to expedite their security screening process, the airport offers TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes. TSA PreCheck is available at all security checkpoints and allows eligible passengers to use a dedicated lane with faster screening procedures. CLEAR is a private security screening service that allows passengers to skip the regular security lines altogether. CLEAR lanes are located at the entrance to Concourse B and at the gate areas for both concourses.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control at PBI is located in the Main Terminal, near the baggage claim area. International passengers will need to pass through passport control and customs before exiting the airport. The airport also offers Global Entry, a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. Global Entry kiosks are located in the passport control area of the Main Terminal.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located at each terminal. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved by the TSA.

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) has a Global Entry Enrollment Center located in the main terminal near baggage claim. Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at an enrollment center.
