Lost and Found at PDX Airport

If you've lost an item at the Portland Airport, don't panic. Each airport has different procedures for handling lost items, and the process can vary depending on where the item was misplaced. This guide will provide you with step-by-step instructions on what to do if you've lost an item at a security checkpoint, on an aircraft, or in other areas of the airport.

Items Lost at Security Checkpoint

If you've lost an item at a security checkpoint, you should contact the TSA. They have a dedicated Lost & Found department that handles items left behind at security checkpoints. You can submit a claim on their Lost & Found Website.

Items Lost on Aircraft/Lost Luggage

For items lost on the aircraft, including missing luggage at baggage claim (lost luggage), you must contact the airline you traveled with. You can find contact information for all airlines served by PDX on the Airlines Served page. Here are direct links to the customer service pages of some of the most popular airlines at PDX:

Items Lost in Other Areas

If you've lost an item in another area of the airport, such as a restaurant or the terminal, you should contact the PDX Lost & Found office. You can submit an inquiry for free at the Lost & Found Claim Link.

The Lost & Found office is located on Level 1 in P1 (Short Term Parking Garage), adjacent to the Transportation Plaza. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but is closed on weekends and holidays. After hours, if you are physically onsite at PDX, you can pick up a white phone for assistance.

Please note that for health and safety reasons, certain items such as perishable food, inexpensive food and drink containers, pillows, blankets, and soiled clothing are discarded at the end of each business day and will not be stored.
