I'm arriving on a Southwest flight at 12:55 pm and departing on Delta at 2:11pm. Will I have to check in somewhere or go straight to the next flight gate? Will this be enough time?
Do you have checked bags or not? If you have no checked bags and check-in online then you can go straight to your departure gate. If you have checked bags you will have to claim them, re-check them with Delta, and go through security.
Have only 30 minutes between gates-I know we arrive at the smaller Delta plane gates which is at far end of Terminal 2 and have to catch a flight to Atlantas--I don't have our departing gate number but know its going to be quite a ways but in same terminal. Is there any assistance offered at airport to rush us thru.
There's no way to rush other than to run.
Flying from Sacramento to Manchester (UK) via Salt Lake City and Paris... the layover at SLC is only 47 minutes which seems very tight - as both incoming/outgoing flights are Delta, is 47 minutes enough? Thanks.
EDIT: Just to add, I'm a UK citizen with no Pre-TSA or anything like that, and I realise that my checked bag wouldn't need to be re-checked at SLC, so I guess I'd be going right from one gate to another (possibly having to go through security again as I'd be flying out internationally).
All you have to do at SLC on your way out of the US is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. No security necessary. You have enough time.
Thanks ZAP
I'm heading to Las Vegas with my boyfriend in the end of January. I'm a US citizen with Global Entry and airline status. He's an EU citizen. The flight we're looking at has a connection time of 1:20 at SLC. For myself I wouldn't worry, but wondering if this will be enough considering he needs to do customs? Anyone know if there are priority lines for passport check/security post-customs? Thinking I can go find our bags and hurry with him once he gets through passport control, unless there is a business/priority status line for passport control. Thanks in advance! We seem to have some very helpful and knowledgeable folks here. =)
There are no priority lines. You should both have enough time. SLC Immigration and customs is not congested, especially in January.
Do you know if I clear Canadian customs in SLC before arriving in Calgary? I have a connecting flight in Calgary and have 50minutes so I was wondering where I clear Canadian customs
You go through Canadian Immigration and customs in Calgary. There is no Canadian Preclearance in the US.
Hi, flying from Amsterdam to LA, with transfer in SLC, with only hand luguage. I just noticed we only have 1h10 minutes for the transfer. Is that enough?
That is plenty of time. Small airport.
I have just booked flights with Delta, flying PHX to SLC to LHR. There is only 55 minutes (assuming on time) between flights at SLC, and my wife will need (pre-ordered already) wheelchair assistance between flights. Will this be a problem? Thanks for your help.
I am a US citizen flying from Calgary to San Diego on Delta with a 53 minute layover in Salt Lake City. Do I have to get luggage and go through customs in SLC? Do I have enough time to do this?I
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. All you have to do in SLC is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Flying from Europe to SLC, then connecting to Las Vegas.
1) After going through customs, is there a place right there to leave checked bags for the next flight?
2) After customs does one stay in a secure area to walk to the next gate, or does one have to go through security again?
1) Yes, there is
2) You have to go through security again.
Coming from Amsterdam with delta and going to Las Vegas with a stopover at SLC and is only 1hr 16min enough for layover.
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
