Public Transportation at San Diego Airport:  For taxis & limos check telephone directory or visit San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau in the Arrivals area. Shuttle Vans and buses are available at the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 & 2, and at curbside at the Commuter Terminal.

To access Trolley / Amtrak / Coaster rail service - you need to take Metrobus Bus 992:

    Metrobus Route 992 (tel. 619-557-4555 or visit www.sdmts.com) - wheelchair accessible connects with Trolley, Coaster and Amtrak stations at the Amtrak's Santa Fe Depot train station at downtown San Diego - and from there to both the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and the Coaster, which link Los Angeles, Orange Counties and North County (including Old Town, Sorrento Valley, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad & Oceanside).
Route 992 Bus to the Amtrak Santa Fe Depot station operates 5am-11:30pm, and runs every 15 mins weekdays /every half hour weekends/holidays:

    The San Diego Trolley
is the City's light rail system with three lines to popular areas (downtown, Convention Center, SDSU, Old Town, Mexican Border...)  While the Trolley does not stop at the Airport, you can transfer from the Metrobus Route 992 to the Trolley's Blue or Orange lines at the America Plaza station.
